Ch 4 The Encounter

16 years later. 2 months after Ganondorf's defeat.

*Links point of view* P.S. He is wearing his Ordon clothing.

I suddenly wake up as I hear a ruckus from downstairs.
I rush down to the first floor of my treehouse and see everything scattered all over the place.
While rubbing my head I thought to myself, "Who did this?"
I look around to find some clues, until my gaze come across a faint blue glow from underneath a cooking pot.
I carefully lift the side of the pot and peek into it, but before I can even look at it, something shoots out at lightning speed, flys into the wall behind me and I hear a distinct sound of "uff" then falls into the decorative pot "ow", then a picture falls on top of the pot trapping it "hey!"
I thought, "I better get a closer look at it, but it'll probably just fly away... I Know! I'll catch it!" Link gets his bottle ready. He quickly lifts the photo and catches the blue ball of light.

*back to third person...kinda*
At first, the ball of light is bouncing all around the jar. Link sits in a chair and puts the bottle in front of him on the table. He leans over onto the table with his head resting on his cris-crossed arms staring at the bottle.
As it slows down he can see that is it a fairy. As it finally settles down, it sits on the bottom of the jar, the burning blue glow starts to dim down until he can make out a figure.
Staring back at him was a frightened fairy. She had long blue hair, light blue skin (maybe from the faint blue glow), a short blue side-strap dress with short capri pants, and blue electric eyes. She was quite beautiful.
He realized how scared she was, he thought, "I'm going to have to make a deal with her so she won't fly away."
Link looks at the fairy kindly and says in a calm voice, "I promise to let you out if you don't fly away. Ok?" The fairy looks at him, shocked and relieved at his offer, she nods her head quickly up and down to say yes.
Link pulls the lid off and sets it on the table. The fairy slowly lifts up off her bear feet and peeks over the edge in disbelief. She flys out and lands on the table.
Link sits there awkwardly. He thinks, "Well this is awkward... I'm going to have to say something." Let's out deep breath and says, "Soooo what's your name? And did you get lost?"
She stands with great pride and says in a high pitched voice, "My name is Navi," she turns away crossing her arms, her wings stop and reach up high all stiff-like, "and no, I'm not lost!"
Link surprised by her attitude backs away and sits up with his hands out, "Ok ok. I'm just trying to figure out why you're here."
Navi turns around puts her Hand on her hip and says very brat like, "Well, I've been trying to find someone, but then YOU," she points her finger at him, "had to go and trap me!" She crosses her arms and turns half way around, head held high.
Link is angry/frustrated/flustered at the package of sass before him. He was about to explode with an angry reply but thought better of it, thinking that he'll never get anything out of her.
Link sits back in his wooden chair and crosses his arms. He says more happily than his mood, "Well, maybe I can help you," he stands up and smiles, "By the way, my name is Link."
She turns around happily and shocked. Navi's blue glow grows bigger, to the point were you can't see her shape anymore, and she just looks like a blue ball.
She flys up to my face angrily and rams/bumps into my face, bounces off me and hovers in front of my face while saying angrily, "I've been looking for you!"
Link clearly shocked, backs away and says what's on his mind, "What!? Why were you looking for me?
Navi energetically and excitedly jumps up and down all while still in the air, "The Fairy Queen (also known as Great Fairy) sent me to assist the Hero of Legend."
Link thinks to himself while smiling, "ha ha. I'm already done with my quest... I wonder how long it took her to find me?"
I sit in a chair lean back in it slouching, my ankle on top of my thigh, my arms crossed behind my neck, smiling, I teasingly say, "Well it looks like you're too late. I've already saved Hyrule. How long did it take you to find me?"
Navi clearly flustered due to the reddish glow mixed in with her blue glow starts to have a little tantrum while saying, "Uuugggg! It took me a whole year to find you!" She continues saying non sensible words.
I zone out watching her go about and ramble on. I find myself thinking about how Minda's doing.
Navi, "...heck, I even went through/to the Twilight Realm and talked to their Queen because I heard that you went there, so I thought maybe she knew something. And then-" (I cut her off) as I lean forward in my chair, "Wait! You went to the Twilight Realm!?"
Annoyed Navi full of sass, "Yea. I was just telling you that! Weren't you listening!?"
I excitedly say, "Did you see Minda?! How is she doing?!"
Navi is frustrated but then realized that he is worried, and also overly excited. She takes a deep breath to calm herself down. She talks using slight sass, "Yea, I saw Minda, and she's doing great. I was stuck there for awhile, so we got to talk. We talked about you, and how you two where bff's. And I got to learn everything about you. And all your strengths and weaknesses."
I think to myself, "but that's impossible. There is no way for anyone to get in the Twilight Realm, not without the Mirror of Twilight. And it shattered into nothingness."
I sadly lean back in my chair, smile, and say very jokely/disbelievingly, "There's no way that you've met her."
Navi gasps, clearly offended, "I did too! Look I even have proof!"
Out of nowhere pops up a spearhead-shaped object. It was black with glowing orange designs on it, it was as big as she was. It was floating out in front of her slowly spinning. (This is Zant's shard)
Link is flabbergasted, his face, dumbfounded. Mouth, hanging open.
All I could do is just sit there in shock. I stuttered, "how...how did you get that!?"
She beams and says matter of factly, with pride, "I got it from Minda. She says that it will help us on our journey."
I stand up and put my hand on the chair. *I don't like that thing.*
I stuttered again, "you...you know what that does, right?"
Navi seeing his nervousness she casually says, "yea. It turns you into a wolf, right? When I first saw it I felt some kind of dark power coming from it. Every time I look at it I shudder." She looks at it and shudders, "euuggg". She makes it disappear.
Link sits back in his chair, leans back, relaxes, and puts his hand up to his face, "well it won't be any good. There's no trouble."
Navi, "not true! Minda gave me list of locations that you might be at before I left. I could sense a dark power at every other location I went to"
I think to myself, "I can trust her on that, because she could sense the power of Zant's shard."
I got up and start walking towards the wardrobe.
Navi frustrated and frantic says, "What are you doing? We have to go!"
As I open the wardrobe I turn my head and say matter of factly, "I'm getting my clothes."
Navi embarrassed by her stupidity says, "Oh...." She turns away so he can change clothes.

Link steps down the later and lands on the soft grass in his full getup. He starts to go towards Ordon.
Navi exploding with frustration, "Were are you going!? Highrule is this way!" She flys over to the forest entrance. She impatiently wait's, "Come on!"
Link not even turning around, raises his hand, starting to walk through the Ordon entry, and says calmly, "I have to say goodbye to everyone. And I have to get my horse." He disappears around the corner.
Navi shocked by his calm reaction to the dire situation, she stutters, "Wa-wait! Wait for me!"
Navi hurries her way to the village. She looks around for Link, then sees him exit a shop.
Navi rushes over to him, "You got everything you need?"
Calm Link, "No."
Navi feumes, "Well hurry UP!"
Link just rolls his eyes and walks deeper into the village, waving when he sees people. He walks over to Rusel and Ulie's house. They are sitting on the porch, Ulie in in the rocking chair holding her two month old baby girl in her arms. Collin (there son) is running around the yard, he stops when he sees Link. His eyes grew huge seeing his hero, he runs up to Link and gives him a big hug. Link looks down, with care in his eyes, and pats Collin on the head.
Rusel beams with pride as he sees Link. As Link spins his son in the air he thinks, "ah, what a fine lad he had become. Hmmmm why is he wearing his hero garb?"
Ulie calls Link over. He jogs over to them.
Rusel trys to be chill as he says, "So Link, what's up?"
Link trys to downplay the situation as he rubs the back of his head, "Ah, nothing much"
Navi pops up out into view full of annoyance, "Nothing Much?! Have you forgotten our mission?! This is a BIG nothing much!"
Ulie is amazed by the blue ball of sass, she excitedly but calmly exasperated, "A Fairy. I've never seen one before."
Link and Rusel chuckle. They both state how they have seen fairys, but nothing like this one. Navi is offended.
Ulie being the nice person she is, "Well you're quite lovely. What is your name?"
Navi introduces herself, Ulie states how that is a lovely name, they talk on as they become good friends. Weil they talk Link and Rusel discuss more serious matters.
Navi sees the baby, she is warning a white knitted hat and a short pink dress, Ulie is holding and becomes very girly, "OMG a baby. I love babies!" She flys up to it's face, gives it a big hug, and kisses it's forehead.

After some time Link and Navi say goodbye and Rusel wishes them safe travels. They go past the mayor's house and start to go up the hill to get Epona from the barn.
Navi impatient, "Can't you just call Epona?"
Link rubs the back of his head in embarrassment and realized, " Oh. Yea, Forgot I can... How did you know her name was Epona? I never told you. And Midna always just called her a horse or a beast, so, she couldn't have told you."
Navi trying to find an excuse, "Oh. Uuu... I just, mistook you for someone else."
Link ignores her excuse and calls Epona with a horseshoe shaped flute. As Epona gallops towards them Navi's eyes are full of memories from long ago.
Link strokes Epona's face and neck. A short girl (or teenager, the mayor's daughter) comes out of the mayor's house.
Link a little surprised, "Oh, Lilia. I thought you went to the sacred spring. I was going to say bye on my way out."
Lilia walks closer, "Oh, I changed my mind. Instead I decided to finish making something that I read in a book." She looks at his clothing, "Where are you going?"
Link rubs the back of his head and looks around, "Oh. Well, Navi here" he gestures towards the fairy, "thinks Hyrule is in danger."
Lilia with some worry in her voice, "Well then, I hope this will come in handy" she hands him a tan folded cloth with a brown Ordon goat symbol on it. She touches his hand as she gives it to him. She quietly says, "be safe. Come back home sometime."
As Lilia turns and walks away Link blushes. Navi notices that Lilia is blushing as well. Link mounts Epona and rides off.

Link is majestically riding through the lively forest with Navi close behind.
Navi teasingly speaks up, "Soo, how long has Lilia been your girlfriend?"
Link very defensive, "She's Not My Girlfriend!"
Navi teseingly shots back, "OoUh, looks like Link's got a crush."
Link embarrassed, "Cut it out!"
Navi keeps egging, "🎤 Link and Lilia sitting in a tree, K.I.S.S.I.N.G."
Link cuts her off, "Knock It Off!" As he crosses the gate into Hyrule Field he starts to ride faster.
Navi still wanting to tese crosses her arms and pouts, "Oh all right." She doesn't notice that link is starting to get ahead. She puts her finger to her chin, "I think you guys would make a great couple!"
Link is at a pretty good distance, riding fast, he turns his head and teases/taunts, " What!? I can't hear you!"
Navi's shocked, "Wait! Wait For Me!" She flys faster to catch up
