~3rd P.O.V~

Multiple tears fell from Aki's face to the flowers below her; for more than her entire life without having a father, her biological parent was standing right before her now. "Come," he says while holding out his hand, "I want to hug my little girl again."

Her feet flew through the flowers before throwing herself into her father's arms, her arms wrapped around him like a snake, clinging to his back. Aki's vision was utterly opaque as her tears took over; she yelled as she cried, hurting her throat.

"I'm so sorry!" Aki yelled through her cries, her tears staining her father's clothes. "For as long as I could remember, I used to hate you for leaving me alone with my birth giver! I hated you so much that it blinded me to see how wrong I was! I'm so sorry for not helping you more when you were still alive! Maybe, if I had sold more wood, I would have had extra money hidden away so I could have bought what you needed to live! And, I'm so sorry for forgetting how you look!"

Seeing her legs weaken, Yamato, her father, sat on his knees with her against the grass. "There, there," he softly hums as he delicately wipes the tears off her face, "breathe, Aki. Just take a few deep breaths, alright?" It took her around five minutes to fully calm down; her cheeks were stained with dry tears, as her eyes were slightly red. "I should be the one apologizing, Aki. For you have done nothing wrong to deserve what you received in the past."

Yamato smiles warmly at her, "but you're quite the stubborn one too. I was always amazed to see how you never gave up, even when you were close to death." Aki wipes her eyes once more before looking at her father, "I figured God wanted me dead for a long time," she hiccups, "what better way to piss him off than to keep living? The same goes for my birth giver." A warmer breeze brushes against the both of them, causing their hair to sway slightly.

"That was warm," Aki says, "where did it come from?" Yamato helps her up as he leads her to a distant small hill. "Look for yourself, Aki," he kindly says before walking back down. A single ring of a windchime rang from the Autumn colored tree; a leaf or two left the body as the warm wind brushes against her again. "This tree," she traces her fingers along the wood while walking around it, "it's the same one from mister Shinjuro's house." She took a step back to see it from a different angle; it was still as large and tall as she remembered.

"It's very special as well," said a male with a comforting voice, "to you and I, my beloved Aki." Her eyes slowly trace from the tree's highest point to the center. Kyojuro stood with his arms across his chest, his eyes and smile still automatically softened when he looked at her; a faint blush formed on his cheeks as the wind made his cape and hair dance.

"K...Kyojuro," Aki breathlessly whispered from the shock quickly consuming her, "is it really...you?" Rengoku chuckled a little before holding a hand out to her, "why don't you find out?" She gulped before walking toward him; her breathing trembled the closer she got, no telling if it was from fear, excitement, or both.

Aki placed her hand on Rengokus rough, warm palm, causing him to squeeze her smaller hand gently. A gasp left her mouth as she was unexpectedly yanked towards him, one arm wrapped around her waist while his free hand held the back of her head, so she had no way to break the heavy kiss he was giving her.

Her heart continued to slam against her chest after Kyojuro briefly parted their lips, only to give her another deeper, hungrier kiss rapidly. Aki's face erupted in a bright red shade. When the kissing finally stopped, both of their breaths slightly trembled from the lack of air, "Kyojuro," she whispered before gently pressing her free hand on his cheek.

Kyojuro smiled at her before closing his eyes, melting in her touch again as his cheek rubbed against her palm. It didn't take long for Aki to start weeping.
