Chickens will be chickens
And ducks will be ducks
But can a fox always be a fox
Can it always be this sly creature
It is perceived to be or can it be more?
Can it be a mighty dinosaur?

This I do not know
This I can't figure out
Do you think a fox could be a boy scout?

This poem seems to make no sense
But look closely, what do you see?
I see a lesson, a word of advice
Some things may seem like they've changed from the way they used to
Be

But chickens will be chickens
And ducks will be ducks
So don't expect a fox to be anymore
Than a fox.
