Happiness is something that you experience in your head
When you get that goodnight text in bed
When you eat your favourite food
Or talk nonsense with friends
That's happiness
However, what we've failed to find is the permanent kind
One that doesn't end when there's no smile
One that doesn't occur for just a short fragment of time
We only know the temporary one That has stayed with us since the
Beginning of time
True happiness doesn't have a Time frame
Doesn't go away when it's night
True happiness lasts forever
Despite the lows and highs
That's what I strive to find
A peace and calm that invades Your soul and mind
Emanates from within
Hosting a chi hard to find
True happiness ain't no bluff
Ain't no once upon a time
True happiness stems from Reality
From recognising and accepting Your place in this life
