Anthropology is dead
Never existed
Futuristic things reveal that we're all aliens just trying to respond
To the mother ship
Futuristic things reveal that we're all celibate
Futuristic things reveal that we haven't settled yet
As nations
As people
As beings
As intellectuals
Futuristic things reveal that we're hypocritical

Connections
We don't feel them anymore
Now we're just sexting
Whispering things like 'gimme more'
Oversexualizing
We go too far with it
Can't watch the T.V. without seeing
A half-naked man advertising pants
Sometimes no sex's involved
Sometimes it's just our minds doesn't feel connections at all
To people near us
To the people in our lives
To the people that watched us cry
To the people that fed us lies

No connection to emotion barrier breakers
No connection to the girl you claim to love
No connection to the guy that's praying to the lord above
No connection to God
No connection to anything but this little box

Connecting to this tiny box
With rays above a dot
Connecting to the invisible wave lengths hitting my phone
Connecting to the pictures of these unrealistic body goals
Connecting to the model that doesn't know I exist
Connecting to the food in the plate that's the size of my fist

Connecting to my WiFi
Connecting to the virtual world the only one willing to still give you a high-five
