4th year: Chapter 19 Asking

~ Harry's POV~

It has been a few days which means the yule ball is almost here and I still haven't asked a girl out

For some reason it was so hard but I don't understand. How do some guys do it?

I've been planning to asked Y/N out for a while but never had the courage to do

because she's the only girl who gets me,  along other then Hermione and I talk to her everyday

So I don't think it wouldn't be that hard her to ask her out but there's only one thing...

Y/N's gorgeous

I'm scared that I'm going to get rejected by her because another guy asked her out before me

But I mean who wouldn't want to ask her out

Y/N's pretty, kind, smart, cool, badass. Y/N's perfect

Ever since I meant her last year I fell in love with her, everything she does makes me happy when she laughs, makes me laugh

I don't know if she likes me but if she ever did there would never be another woman in my life that can replace Y/N

But today was the day I would ask her out, I'm going to try not to be awkward because I'm not good with girls but with Y/N there's no need for that

~Y/N's POV~

Christmas Eve was only in a few days and for the past days it's been crazy

Every time I go out I see everyone looking at me, especially boys

I try to get away, which I did but I don't feel like I should be going out today but I'm still going to do it

Because the weather is really cold, it's already snowing at Hogwarts so not many people go out these times

I was walking outside when I suddenly heard a voice calling me

"Cullen!" I look behind me to see Malfoy walking up to me

I roll my eyes before he could even talk to me what did he wanted I though to myself

"What Malfoy" I said with a voice that sounded like I wanted to leave

"Whoa, whoa, easy there darling" he said that made me hate it so bad "Don't call me that" I said

He made a little smirk, looking down at me "How will you like to go to the yule ball with me?" as soon as I heard that I started laughing

He looked at me if I was crazy, I just couldn't keep it in. This asshole really thinks I will say yes to him

"Oh please, you wish" was all I said and left him "IS THAT A YES OR A NO!!!" Malfoy shouted

I leave him there without saying anything but that should give him a clue to my response

I start walking to a tower just to see what's there nothing suspicious but curious

I made it to the top of the tower and notice it's a bit colder here then outside, well for a normal person

I look around and see lots of jars with labels to tell what they were. When I heard foot steps coming up the tower

I try to leave but when I did I'm surprised to see Harry

I gasp and Harry also looked shocked to see me here "Hi Harry" I said smiling at him

"Y/N" he said. I try to move to let Harry in but Harry also tried to the same thing as me to let me through

I tried the second time but the same thing happened, I laugh a little and move out of the way to let Harry in

"Thanks" said Harry getting in and I nodded. I started walking out but Harry called me

"Y/N"
"Yes Harry" I said looking at him

"I was just wondering if you'll go to the ball with me"

I heard it perfectly even though there were a lot of birds chirping. I gasp a little

I really feel bad on what I'm going to have to say to him right now "Harry, I'm sorry but I already have a date to the yule ball..." I said in a low voice

~Harry's POV~

"𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘐'𝘮 𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘺𝘶𝘭𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭" was all I could hear in my head

What I didn't wanted to happen, happened but I'm not going to be mad over this

"Great... good... it's- it's fine, ok" I said noding my head seeing some tears in her eyes

As I was about to leave, I heard Y/N staring calling my name. I quickly ran back to her

"I'm really sorry" said Y/N as she looked at my face and left slowly, walking down the stairs as I saw her leave

                              ..............

I was in the Gryffindor common room, laying down with my golden egg by my stomach

I sigh. Still thinking about what happened earlier. Y/N rejecting me

Until I heard a crowd of people walking into the common room. I stand up to see people around Ron

"It's ok Ron, it's doesn't matter you can always ask someone else" said Ginny putting Ron down

"What happened to you" I said walking up to Ron "He just asked Y/N out" said Ginny

I couldn't believe this, my best friend really asked the same girl as I did, of course I know what Y/N said

"What did she say" said Hermione "No of course" said Hermione guessing.  Ron shake his head no

"She said yes!" said Hermione putting her hands at her mouth "Don't be silly" said Ron sounding depressed

"There was Y/N at the library checking out books when I saw because I was walking out in the hall"

"When I walk in the library, I got so scared I lost it when I screamed at her if she would go to the ball with me"

"The librarian got mad at me for being so loud she kicked me out. I never got a response from her, I was about to ask her again when she came out of the library but I couldn't do it. I'm sorry I'm not meant for this" said Ron explaining everything to everyone

When Ron was starting to talk again, the Patil twins walked down the stairs "Hi Harry" they both said with their soft voice

A/N sorry it took me a bit longer to write I know that I did update this week but late because I was with family but I think I might update the next chapter this week also because I have no school for one week because of Thanksgiving. I really hope you all have a great day or night
