~ONE WEEK LATER~

Emiri sighed fondly as she sat peacefully at the table during dinner with Hitoshi and Eri as Hitoshi asked the question that Emiri had been expecting for years now.

"Why isn't Dad with us?" Hitoshi asked softly and hesitantly.

Eri watched curiously with only slight concern and a lot of confusion as Emiri smiled fondly.

"Well, Hitoshi... It's entirely my fault, because I never told him I was pregnant when I found out I was pregnant with you and because of my work. My work requires a lot of secrecy and it keeps me not only busy but in the background. Your father is a great man, one who I met one evening when I wasn't feeling the greatest much like him and had an affair with after a lot of drinking. Let's just leave it at our protection broke and that was when I conceived you. After I found out I was pregnant knowing his ambitions in life and how different from mine they were, I never told him and instead I have kept you secret from him and him secret from you. Primarily for reasons that I hope you can understand that I just can't share and have to keep hidden from everyone including you..." Emiri said fondly but guiltily.

Hitoshi offered her a small knowing smirk, "I know about your work mom... I even have a good idea of who my father is and why you've kept him a secret from me and why you've kept me a secret from him. I even still remember my second quirk and why I have to keep it suppressed just like Eri has her own regiment with suppressants while we work on helping her control her quirk... I just wanted to hear it from you and I forgave you from the moment I figured everything out."

Emiri smiled guiltily at Hitoshi before leaning over and giving him a loving kiss on the cheek.

"I'm relieved that you forgive me, but the fact doesn't change that I haven't ever given you a father... and I probably never will."

Hitoshi looked at her in pleasant surprise, "You still love my dad, don't you?"

Emiri nodded softly with a fond smile and a distant look in her eyes as she gently cleaned Eri's face.

"I do, I still love him as strongly as I did when I fell in love with him... Probably even stronger then before. In fact, I miss everything about him all the time... But reality can be cruel, and it can't be changed... So I have just devoted myself to continuing to live and to keep you and now Eri as well as happy and healthy and safe as I can. Also to supporting both of you in whatever it is you two decide to become, because I love you two with all of my heart." Emiri answered happily and softly as she beamed back at Eri and Hitoshi gave a happy smile at seeing her mother so happy.

"I never needed a Dad with you around, Mom... You were always both for me." Hitoshi said before leaving to his room, "I'm going to go play some video games and check in with Izuku! Love you, mom. Goodnight!"

Emiri shook her head gently in amusement as she helped Eri out of her chair with an amused happy smile.

"Make sure to feed Haru and Riku, please!" Emiri called out to the boy before taking Eri to her (Eri's) room to get the little girl fresh clothes so she could be given a bath.

Eri happily enjoyed the bath and happily welcomed sleep as she called Emiri what she had become to her.

"Goodnight...Mama..." Eri had managed to say before dozing off.
