~MUCH LATER~
Emiri sat calmly and quietly in her offered chair at the improvised green room in the station scratching awkwardly at her wrists whenever someone came just feet between her reflexively but stopping herself as much as possible once Shota silentlly scolded her.
Finally the TV Talk Show Star, Uchida Akeno came into the room and sat down at the chair set up for her happily with a warm smile as Cameras prepared.
After being cued, Akeno did her greeting to the viewers and then turned her attention to the clearly restrained Emiri and the quiet but politely awkwardly seated next to her Shota.
"Thank you both so much for accepting an interview with me, EraserHead, Freedom! It's really wonderful to meet you both in person and get to talk with you!" Akeno said.
Emiri smiled kindly in return, "It's nice to meet you too Akeno-san."
Shota nodded, "Nice to meet you."
Akeno was undeterred having noticed they were trying, just awkward about being on camera and eventually on tv.
"Now, since your arrest Freedom, there's been a lot of controversy on you, the Hunters, and most of all your connection with EraserHead. Anything you can share with us?"
Emiri kept her smile as she answered softly and kindly, "Um, well I really wouldn't know much about the controversies because I've been pretty busy being interrogated and processed. But as for EraserHead, I met him years ago when we were teenagers and the next day we parted ways and never saw each other again until not too long ago. It really wasn't anything too crazy. Well, not in my opinion considering all of the stuff I have done before as a villain."
Akeno nodded in understanding, "Well there is a lot of controversy that the two children that hugged you are your secret love children with EraserHead, is that true?"
Shota and Emiri grimaced out an awkward smile.
Emiri answered, "Well it's not really a secret anymore, but biologically the boy that hugged me is mine and Shota's son and the little girl is our daughter that I adopted under our names when I found her about to be sold to an idiot with bad intentions by her birth mother. That is, I adopted her under our civilian names. But I digress."
"Oh? What are their names?"
Shota actually offered a small smile as he answered proudly, "The boy is Hitoshi and the girl is Eri."
Akeno was ecstatic as Emiri beamed in equal pride and asked the most prominent question yet.
"And how old are Hitoshi and Eri now?" Akeno asked.
Emiri answered this one, "Hitoshi is currently 15 and Eri is currently 6. Both getting older faster than I would like truthfully, but I couldn't be prouder of how great they are."
Shota nodded, "Me neither, honestly. You did amazing raising them."
Emiri nodded gratefully attempting to hold back a slight flush to her cheeks as Akeno retook control of the conversation.
"So you raised them yourself Freedom?"
Emiri nodded, "Yes, and please, call me Emiri."
Akeno nodded in understanding, "I mean, being a single mother must be hard as it is, but being the number one villain in the world at the same time! Was it harder for you to raise them alone?"
The mood sombered a bit as Emiri's smile developed a bittersweetness to it no one expected.
"Truthfully?" Emiri answered earning a nod from Akeno and the pro heroes behind the cameras before she continued, "It was honestly the most difficult, terrifying, and satisfying thing I have ever done in my thirty years of life."
