Waffles. Or pancakes? Cinnamon. Oh yeah definitely waffles with cinnamon. And Coffee. I ran my hand over the sheets on the other side of the bed and just as I expected, Lou's spot was empty. She was in the kitchen making breakfast which explained the delicious mixture of smells and scents that had woken me up. I rolled over to look at my phone, it was 9 a.m. I sat up on the bed, leaned against the backrest, and stretched, yawning. That's when the door opened and Lou entered, a breakfast tray in her hands. "Good morning sleepyhead" She grinned and put the tray on the nightstand, sitting on the side of the bed. "Why are you up this early?" I asked, grabbing her hands, and pulling her to shift closer to me. "It's not early, it's already nine." She answered moving to where I wanted her to sit and put a small kiss on my right collarbone. "You never wake up until twelve unless I force you out of bed." I rolled my eyes and looked at her waiting for an answer. "Well" she cleared her throat "we have a lot to do today so I got up a bit earlier." She clearly had made plans I had no idea about yet. "We were supposed to have a chill weekend and go somewhere nice." I whined and rested my head against the backrest. "I know baby, I know but we can't go anywhere because we have to meet Kate and sign the sale contract for the house." I completely forgot about that "Okay, right, but we're having a lazy evening and a lazy Sunday." She gulped and straightened up and I knew she was hiding something, so I raised an eyebrow at her. "Uhm, no, not really." I didn't say anything, instead, I sat still, eyes not leaving her face, waiting for further explanation. "There is this party tonight-" I rolled my eyes, convinced that she wanted us to meet with the girls at some bar even though we agreed on spending some time alone this weekend. "No, it's not a normal party. It's more of a dinner party that's hosted by the American Business Association." I looked at her, surprised. "I got a call in the morning from David, the guy who sold us the bar. It's like a huge event where you can find people from the industry, make some connections. You know connections are everything for a successful business." She had a guilty look on her face. "I know you need to rest and I'm sorry I'm coming up with that so late, but it would be really great if we could go there." She sighed and tilted her head. I reached out to grab her neck and pulled her closer. "In that case." I pecked her lips. "I guess I can survive one more sleepless night." I kissed her again, longer this time. "Thank you." She smiled at me with the widest smile, and I mean, how could I ever say no to that face. "You know I'm proud of you for building your business on your own from scratch? Of course, we will go there if that's something that will help you. For every heist I've ever planed you were there with me, every step of the way. It's your time to shine now and I'm happy to be with you for that." I said caressing her cheek with my thumb. "Oh honey, is this a proposal?" She asked in a low voice, grinning at me but I only chuckled in response and pulled her into a kiss, pushing her down on the bed and crawling on top of her. I definitely wanted to marry that dumbass one day.

I moved down to pepper kisses all over her neck, but she grabbed my face, stopping me. "Breakfast" She breathed out. "It'll be cold. Eat first." Her cheeks were blushed, and she was breathing a bit quicker than usual. I placed one last kiss on her lips and sat up, letting her do the same. "I'll catch you after breakfast though" I smirked at her and reached for the coffee mug, taking a sip. She put her hands on my hips and squished lightly, letting me know to get off her as I was still straddling her. After I did, she stood up and placed the tray on the bed right in front of me. "We have to meet Kate in an hour, so I don't think we'll have time for that." She said, kissing my forehead. "Heyyy, that's unfair." I pouted, grabbing the fork. "I'll make it up to you, I promise." She smirked and left to clean up the kitchen.

"It feels surreal" I muttered when Lou turned the car off as we arrived at Kate's office. "It really does." She said and unbuckled her seatbelt. We were silent for a moment before she placed her hand on my thigh and rubbed with her thumb lightly. "Are you okay?" She turned to me, searching for eye contact. "Yeah." I gave her hand a small squeeze and smiled at her. "I'm perfect, I just can't believe we're finally doing it." I whispered and she shifted closer, stopping inches away from my lips, waiting for my reaction. I leaned in and she gave me a slow, warm kiss. "Let's make this home ours." She said quietly, her breath hitting my mouth as she spoke. I nodded, gave her one more peck and we got out of the car. We went in, arms wrapped around each other waists. "Oh hi guys, I'm so excited to see you again! You haven't changed your mind, right?" Kate laughed and gave each of us a hug. "Absolutely not." I reassured as we sat down. She gave us the papers, explained everything, and told us one more time, that it's the perfect place and that we will absolutely fall in love with it as soon as we'd move in. After we had both signed, she put the contract in a folder, stood up, and cleared her throat: "Ms. Ocean, Ms. Miller, I'm more than happy to announce you the owners of this fabulous house." She then handed the folder to me and shook our hands, congratulating us.
