I'll Call You Mine [Cedric Diggory]

chapter six

It was another couple weeks and was actually the day of the first task. Tatum still hadn't approached the Hufflepuff but the Hufflepuff hadn't approached him really either. But the day was still young and the male had a plan. He had barely any sleep and had continued his schedule of skipping out on dinner with a big lunch. He was exhausted as he would think what he would do to even start a conversation with the Hufflepuff after what had happened between the two of them.

"Hey i'm sorry- no, Hey good luck by the way remember when you thought i was going to die-, no" He would speak to himself as he would place his hands on his face as he would rest his elbows on his knees as his hands remained at his face.

"dude, why are you up here still, everyone's headed to the field" Draco would speak as he would come sit by the Slytherin who looked to be in distress.

"sorry, just thinking is all" He would speak as he would get up walking with the male as he would fix himself up as the two would hurry off down the stair case and following the crowd that was headed towards the quidditch pitch. But the whole way there all Tatum was doing was running what he would say to the Hufflepuff. That's when the girl he had met the other day would run over to him dragging him with her.

"Um hello to you too" He would speak as the girl seemed to be in panic about Harry. She was also a bit panicked about Cedric saying he wasn't acting normal over the past few weeks.

"It's going to be alright, cmon we can walk up and wish them some luck maybe" Tatum would speak as the girl would take a deep breath as he would guide the two up the competitors only stair way. The two would look around as they would try not to be caught and thrown out of the event. He would find a curtain where he would peak in seeing the competitors catching Cedrics eye. He would stiffen up as he would watch the male begin to walk over as he would his back behind the curtain. Hermione would already be talking with Harry through the curtain. But Cedric just straight up left through the curtain and stood in front of Tatum.

"Cedric-" Tatum would have spoken as the Hufflepuff would have quickly cut him off with little to no hesitation.

"Look Tatum I really don't want to hear it right now" Cedric would speak as he would roll his eyes slightly as Tatum would bit his lip gently before speaking up with a stern voice.

"Can you just listen merlins beard, you make it so hard to be nice to you" Tatum would speak as the Hufflepuff would have promptly shut up gesturing for him to speak. Tatum would straighten himself up before he would speak to the boy.

"I messed up, I shouldn't have gone after that dude and been dumb, I'm sorry that I punched you and for if I scared you" Tatum would speak almost sounding disinterested as he would watch the Hufflepuff smile as he would raise an eyebrow at the male.

"Didn't hurt all that bad, just wanted to see if you would apologize for it really" The Hufflepuff would speak as the Slytherin would punch his arm with a roll of his eyes as the Hufflepuff would laugh gently.

"So you made me back up an apology so you could laugh, okay Diggory, have fun out there on the dumb pitch" He would speak as Cedric would grab his arm turning him to face him as he would hug him. The Slytherin was taken back by this gesture as he would wrap his arms slowly around the other male in return.

"Thank you for the apology Tatum, it means the world" Cedric would speak making Tatum smile to himself a little before the two would break apart from the site of a camera flash and clicking of cameras.

"Come on Tatum, we must leave" Hermione would say as she would pull the male away as he would wave bye to Cedric as Hermione and him would run away. His eyes were almost star struck as they would go and take their seats.

"Are you okay Tatum? You look like you've seen a ghost" Hermione would speak as she would wave her hand in front of Tatums face as he could hear Fred and George from behind him.

"He's obviously been struck by something" George would speak i may teasing tone as he would pin at the male in front of him. Tatum would only slap the males hands as he would cross his arms over his stomach with a small eye roll.

"By the magic of Mr. Diggory" Fred would speak with a chuckle as Tatum would smack the males leg before facing forward again. He was watching the sky hoping that nothing bad would happen during this task. There was something happening in the moment they had just had, he kept thinking back to the male leaning down to him, wondering why and wondering what he was going to do. He would be zoned out until he would hear the buzzer and an announcers voice come over the system.

"He's up first" He would gasp as he would notice him enter. His eyes looked over the male who stood the size of a pea in the middle of the arena. Tatum watched as the Dragon came out and he started to panic. There was that beating in his chest again, what was happening... He would watch as the male would use spells tricking the dragon and helping himself. But after the first couple of minutes he just stared at the golden egg. He didn't want to know if anything bad happened, just wanted to know when it would all be over.

It felt almost like hours before the egg would finally have been grabbed and the match was over. The crowd erupted with applause and screams of happiness. Tatum was one of the ones holding his chest thanking everything in the sky above no matter how much he may not believe in something. His eyes were almost watering when the next person would enter the stadium. It was smooth sailing from Cedrics match. Going into Fleur then Victor, but Harry's run looked messy. Tatum may have been just as anxious during Harry's as he was during Cedrics.

"Oh my merlins beard" Fred would speak as Harry would be flying on a broom and the Dragon would break free. They had seemed to be gone for a while when he finally came back with a major amount of speed snatching the golden egg. The crowd roared with emotion, some annoyed, while others were simply relieved that he was okay.

"Thank everything" Hermione would speak as she would hug into Tatums side as Tatum would allow himself to hug her back out of relief. He felt a pair of eyes glaring at him as he would hug her. When he looked up it was one of the Weasley brothers he would have known to be Ron from the day when they were on the quidditch pitch originally.

"come on we must go see them as soon as they are out" Hermione would speak as she would lead Tatum through the crowd and down the rickety stair case. They were running like bloody hell. His eyes would skim for the champions as he would smile gently stepping out from behind the tapestries with Hermione. Harry would have basically thrown himself into Hermione's arms while Tatum and Cedric just looked at each other for a moment.

"We'll look who's back in one piece" Tatum would comment as he would watch Cedrics lips curl into a smile as he would walk over to the male before him.

"I try" He would speak simply as he would jokingly bow to the male who stood in front of him. Tatum found himself rolling his eyes as he would push the boys head away as they would both laugh gently.

"Well since you didn't get any teeth knocked out this time how am i to make a shrine" Tatum would joke as he would watch Cedric roll his eyes slapping the males arm. But something about the way Cedric looked at him made his chest pound. He would take a breath as he would watch a crowd charging towards them.

Hufflepuffs would be chanting for Cedric and almost moments passed when Cedric would slip a note into Tatums pocket and run off with his fellow house mates. Tatum would raise his eyebrow as he would read the note.

'meet me at our spot'

was all the note read as Tatum would raise an eyebrows. "we have a spot?" He would ask himself as he would look up but everyone was long gone that used to stand next to him. hmm.
