I'll Call You Mine [Cedric Diggory]

chapter seven

Tatum would have been thinking about what Cedric said for quite a while. What even was there spot? Outside the Slytherin common room? In Defense Against The Dark Arts Class? He was thinking about it as Draco would take a seat at the dinner table next to him.

"Hey, you came to dinner tonight, it's awfully good to see you mate" Draco would speak with a smile as the two would sit chatting and catching up. Draco didn't take much interests in the events that had happened that day but in all fairness Tatum didn't have an interest until moments prior. Before the food would appear on the tables the headmaster would tap his knife to his glass gently.

"Students, Students, as part of the tri-wizard tournament celebration, we shall be having the annual Yule Ball ! Professor Mcgonagold shall make sure all of us are prepared for this event, dates will be posted soon, now let the feast... Begin!" The headmaster would speak and everyone would look around probably already trying to determine who they would say yes to, or who they would ask out. But only seconds later food appeared on the table and everyone was stuffing their faces.

"I've missed dinner, why did I think a big lunch was worth it" Tatum would speak as he wouldn't have a large portion, he would eat the potatoes savoringly a she closed his eyes happily as he would continue to eat. By that's when Draco would begin to whisper over.

"Hey, that Hufflepuff has his eyes locked on you" Tatum would take another bite of potatoes as he would soon turn around to look not noticing anyone looking, must have been a short little glance.

"Well Draco, I think you ought to worry more about how you are going to get to the ball with Mr. Potter" Tatum spoke with a small raise of his eyebrow as he would watch the other laugh gently.

"What" The blonde would speak before getting cut off by the brunette who would bring up the events from the day.

"Don't act like your nails weren't digging into my arm while we watched Harry during his task" Tatum would speak showing his forearm that had nail marks from Draco. Now that could be taken in a different way of course, but it was simply because his little crush was in a dangerous situation.

"Okay, it was an anxiety inducing performance sir" Draco would speak causing Tatum to laugh as they would continue to speak and argue over the likelihood of either of them being asked out. Tatum honestly would most probably say yes to the first person to ask, he wasn't desperate, but would do anything to get it out of the way.

People were beginning to ask others by the end of dinner and Tatum had never been so anxious. He had hoped at least a couple people would still need dates by the next day. Speaking of the next day even before the next day would hit he would have to figure out what his and Cedrics spot was. Maybe Tatum would just walk around until he would find it? But that's when he would hear the eruption of talking as the room would begin to clear out. Maybe he would go outside for a smoke before he would head to find the 'spot'.

Once everyone was out of the dining halls he would have made his way out towards the balcony. He would pull out a cigarette, something he hadn't smoked since his first night here but there he was about to light it and take a deep breath of it. As he would light it he would close his eyes taking a solid breath before blowing the smoke from his mouth.

"You know those can kill you" The sound of a familiar voice spoke as he would turn around coming face to face with the male he would have wanted to beat the shit out of for the past month.

"You" Tatum would hiss as he would take steps towards the male before the male would pull his wand on him. His eyes would widen a bit as he would take a couple steps back.

"Yes it is me, I'm just here to finish what should have been finished weeks ago" Marcus would speak as Tatum would drop his cigarette stomping it out as he would reach for his wand only to see the other hold his wand firmer.
