Syaoran walked, recalling his last conversation with Sakura. In a way, he was thankful that it went well. He might not have said the truth exactly, but he prayed that Sakura would simply get it. Well, at least he prayed that she could get a little hint. After all, with magic on the loose, he knew that no one could afford to drop down their guards—especially Sakura, Eriol and him.

Turning on the corner, he halted and blinked. He thought he still had few minutes to kill, but it seemed that his unconscious had already brought him to where he was supposed to be that moment. He took a deep breath and stared at the Kinomoto residence.

“Syaoran.”

Turning to the voice, Syaoran decided to give a smile. “Good morning, Sakura.”

The girl smiled back and opened the gate. It was still early, so she was a little surprised that he was already there. Honestly, she was surprised that he actually visited. Since they retrieved their memories, all they do was to avoid each other as much as possible. Sure, their last conversation was decent, but it was far from their usual carefree and lengthy chat.

The two went in in silence then Sakura went to finish her chores. She was on the duty for a week to compensate for her absence when she was in England.

Ring!!

“I’ll get it.” Syaoran offered, rising from his seat. He heard Sakura mumble her talks as he walked to the door. With a small sigh, he opened the door.

“I see I am already not needed here.” Eriol grinned, teasing.

Syaoran scowled, knowing what he meant. Since that the incident few days back, he, Eriol, Kaho and even the guardians decided to look over Sakura. They needed to be near her as much as possible because whoever was behind those crazy happening was capable enough to be around them without anyone of them realizing. Although none of them knew who was the real target, they knew that as the new holder of the Clow Cards, Sakura was the one who could be in a real danger.

Following Eriol inside the house, he saw the blue-haired man greet Sakura. And for the first time that day, he saw her usual bright and at ease smile. He could not help but be envious at the other man, but he perfectly knew why. His mere presence created a confusing atmosphere for her. He wanted to give her time alone, but unfortunately, fate was not listening to him.

“Oh! Why are you here too, Eriol?” Sakura asked, not having any clue on what was happening. The others did not inform her about the plan since everybody knew how Sakura could also be stubborn at times.

“I’m just walking around the area.” Eriol lied simply, knowing very well that Sakura was not the type of person who would ask further questions. “Plus, I wanted to see how you are doing.”

“I’m fine. I guess.” She said, feeling a bit of relief with Eriol’s presence.

Nodding at the answer, Eriol’s gaze caught the piano that was silently sitting on the side of the living room. He had not seen it before, but based from it’s features, he could easily tell that it had been there for years.  ‘Perhaps I did not notice since I was busy with other things back then.’ He told himself then smiled in amusement. “Shall I lighten the mood?”

Sakura stared at him and saw what he was referring to. “Sure, no one has used that piano for a long time now so please.”

Smiling gratefully at Sakura, Eriol turned his gaze to Syaoran, who was sitting silently on the couch. He let him meet his gaze, holding it for a moment then decided to open the piano. He sat down, feeling the confused, but sharp gaze of Syaoran on his back. He took a few moments to relax and started to play the white keys slowly, sweetly.
