The forest clearing was teeming with life. Soft flickers of fireflies graced the scene of the bouquets of flowers, the canopy, and a very loving couple dressed in traditional white.
The evening ceremony was held next to a lovely pond where a multitude of frogs croaked to their heart's content. Amongst the throaty frog song, there was the occasional slap and snap of springy tongues and slimy jaws.
"We are gathered here today to celebrate the union of-"
Snap!
A snaky whisk of pink slithered back into its resting place with a soft gulp. The groom's emerald eyes widened in shock when it was the lovely lady beside him that hiccuped soon afterwords.
The bride's blush was masked by the gossamer silk veil that dangled in front of her face. Her silvery voice was quiet in embarrassment. "S-sorry...force of habit..." She nervously fiddled with the folds of her dress skirt that glistened in the soft light as though stardust had been woven into the white fabric itself.
A few of the Heroes in attendance snorted and coughed to disguise their restrained laugher. None of them would hold the little case of the munchies over the Frog Heroine herself whilst in her natural habitat.
The groom noticed his bride-to-be's discomfort grow from the amused response, then he turned to face the officiator. He softly nodded his head, causing his curly trimmed mop of green hair to flutter. "Let's just keep going please."
Words flowed from the officiator's smiling lips quite smoothly as if the 'snack' never happened.
The bride completely relaxed once again as the stars started to gleam. Her heart fluttered with apprehension, and her grip tightened on her pond lily bouquet as the final binding words were uttered in grandiose fashion.
"...Izuku Midoriya and Tsuyu Asui, husband and wife..."
Peeling the veil ever so carefully away from her face, Asui finally got to see the loving eyes of her new husband. Izuku cupped his soft hand underneath her jaw and guided her lips to meet his. The beautiful heroine closed her eyes and blissfully ascended to tiptoe to close the distance smoothly.
The roar of approval and congratulations from the patrons startled a large part of the animal life. Frogs big, small, and every kind in between spooked and sprang into the air. Soon it was raining pond-scum and amphibians, most of which landed on Tsuyu's dress to create a living quilted mass frogs that clung onto her train.
The loving newly weds parted and laughed before hugging each other. Attendants and friends surged forward and busily escorted the bride to the dressing room. Some poison class frogs had started burning holes into the fabric...causing the beautiful gown to wither and dissolve, like acid to delicate flower petals.
After the couple changed into something more casual, the wedding party left the forrest and reconvened at a large bridge that had been decorated with flowers and lanterns for the reception.
Music played and Midoriya took his new wife by the hand and led her to the center of the bridge for the first dance. It started out slow and moving as he held her close and guided her through the steps with a reassuring ease.
Aoyama grinned from ear to ear and elbowed a somber Yowameru who was standing next to him in a deep navy blue dress. "2 months of dancing lessons from Yours Truly really paid off!" His violet eyes sparkled with a self-righteous pride.
The platinum blonde woman didn't feel like speaking to anyone for the entire night. A bit ruffled after being elbowed, she gestured to Asui. "The real impressive one is the bride. If you look at her feet, she hasn't hesitated or missed any step."
This observation caused The Sparlking Hero to frown in thought and skeptically squint at Tsuyu's feet, and the socially acceptable gleam in Yowameru's eyes faded entirely again. Her lips relaxed back into a somber line, feigning an unbreakable silence.
The wedding cake had been served and light conversation had lulled to a indistinct murmur when a tall figure advanced on Izuku from behind. Kaminari and Jiro noticed the newcomer right off the bat and they knowingly smiled to themselves.
Point Blank frowned at their scheming countenances. His voice was dull from the lack of surprise. "I got a Kacchan behind me don't I?"
Two strong hands surged out and slammed down heartily on Izuku's broad shoulders. "I dunno, do YOU?!" The Explosion Hero incredulously asked, towering over his friend and looking at him while upside down. He smirked at the blood rushed to his face.
Izuku made eye contact, bit his tongue in concentration, and then pinched the Pro Hero's nose between his knuckles. The groom laughed as he held onto Bakugo's nose like a child. "Do I?"
The Explosion Hero struggled a bit before seperating himself from his quirkless partner. After straightening his orange and vest Bakugo chuckled. "Be glad I'm in a good mood you punk."
Izuku stuck out his tongue at him before Asui cupped his face in her hand and turned him to look at her. Asui scoldingly sighed. "You shouldn't provoke powerful people My Love."
Midoriya waggled his eyebrows and tapped his forehead against hers with a gremlin smile. "There is a method to my madness My Darling."
Asui grabbed a fistful of cake then masterfully chucked it at Bakugo's surprised face. Before he could react, Asui snagged Izuku by the waist with her powerful long tongue and leapt over the near by rooftops to disappear into the backstreets.
The scheming laughter of the new couple could still be heard as the sun started to rise.
