Vladlan
"Can you go get her?" My brother asked me over the phone. I looked at my watch and sat back in my chair. "I can't leave right now. I'll owe you one"
I sighed "Yeah, where is she?"
"The mall"
I grabbed my jacket and keys, locking my office door "Yeah I'm on my way" I hung up the phone.
Forty minutes later I saw her black Grand Prix sitting in the middle of the parking lot. I drove up closer to the car.
She looked over at me and shook her head, then wrapped around pulling Athena in her lap wrapping her with her jacket. She quickly got out of the car and into mine.
"I thought Vladimir was coming?"
"He couldn't leave the office called and asked me" she nodded her head and pulled Athena closer to her, looking out the window.
She turned on the radio flipping through the channels when she stopped, Closer by nine inch nails was playing. She started singing and moving her hands to the song.
I watched her in amusement, she turned and looked at me "What?"
"I didn't think you would listen to something like this"
She scrunched her eyebrows together "What that mean"
"That I didn't think you would listen to something like this. Come on Selene keep up" I teased herShe rolled her eyes "Smartass"
"Slow ass"
"Bite me Vladlan"
"Oh you're into that kinda shit huh"
She slapped my arm "not in this lifetime" we both started laughing.
"What happened to your car anyway?"
"Engine staled"
"Again?"
She looked at me "Not everyone has money that mommy and daddy gave them"
I tensed at her comment. I knew she didn't know but it still stung. "My parents died in a crash"
"Vlad, oh my- I'm sorry I didn't know" she put her hand on her face "Great job Selene" she mumbled.
"It's okay"
"It's not, I'm sorry"
"Oooh Selene said sorry" I teased her
"Don't do that" she rolled her eyes.
We pulled up to her house and it was still raining heavily. I gave her my jacket to cover Athena with. She grabbed her keys and we hurried to the door.
She went to the back to take care of Athena. Not too long later she came out with a tank and shorts. Showing off all her tattoos. She really did look like a goddess. She was beautiful, and a damn good mother for sure. That made her all the more attractive.
