The memories were too much, I had to stop writing for a moment.

The Man sat down at the door of the cage and cleared his throat

"Hmm where do I even begin?" He muttered to himself.

"Tell us everything you creep" The girl beside me said to him angrily. This made him laugh again.

"You've been asleep for 14 years. Your parents were killed by my men, then you were taken" He

said no more after that.

"Uhhhh" Was all I could say.

"Just tell us everything old man" The other girl said. She was a hot tempered one, it matched her

red hair.

The Man sighed.

"We needed children for our experiments, but the experiments needed to start when the chidren

were no more than two years old"

"Why choose us?" I asked.

"I needed some way to get revenge on my brother. I was not expecting a fight though, he always

was a weak one. But I guess when it came to family he was strong willed. He had to die. You're

mother as well" He said to me.

"What about my family?" red haired girl said.

"Were you not listening?" He asked impatiently. "You're both twins you idiots have you not looked at

yourselves?"

"No, 'sir'. We haven't. I don't see any mirrors in this filthy excuse of a bedroom" Red haired girl

strikes again.

"What experiments? And how do I know things...I was taken when I was 1 you know." I asked.

"Ah, here's a smart girl, asking the right questions." The Man said. He chuckled. It was becoming a

habit of his.

"If they're the right questions, shouldn't you be answering them?" I don't need to tell you who said

that.

"Yes. I was JUST getting to that, you impatient fool" He retorted. "Red, lift up White's shirt and look at

her back".

Nobody moved.

"What?" I asked.

"DO I HAVE TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING?" He yelled.

"We literally have been sleeping since we were 1 years old, so yes" I said.

"The hot tempered one with the red hair, is called Red, and you are called White." He told me. "I

came up with the names myself"

"How creative of you" Red said, rolling her eyes. "Now answer the questions"

"You want to know about the experiment, yes? Well, I wanted to experiment with some genetic

splicing." He began. "For white, we took DNA from a moth and combined them with her own DNA.

We enchanced the moth DNA and well, you can see for yourself what happen. Red, lift up her shirt

and look. at. her. back." He said.

Red reached over towards me and pulled up my shirt. I heard her gasp.

"Will someone please tell me what's wrong with my back?" I demanded.

There was about thirty seconds of silence before I got a reply.

"Wings." Red said.

"Fascinating. Now what the heck are you talking about?" I was starting to get impatient. I wanted

answers.

"There are some wings growing out of your back, White" Red said in amazement. I raised an

eyebrow.

"What?!" I turned around to look. The wings weren't hard to miss. They were black.

They were beautiful. I couldn't take my eyes off of them. I was still staring at them when

Red spoke.

"So what about me?" She asked. "Do I get something cool?"

"Look at your fingernails" The Man said. Red looked, and so did I. There was nothing there.

Red shrugged. "So what?"

"You aren't very patient, are you?" The Man observed. "Anyway, yours were a bit more difficult. With

White's wings, it didn't matter if they were always on her back, she could just cover them with a shirt

and she could go out into the real world. However, with you, we had to make some sort of device"

"And?" Red pressed further.

"Do you feel a lump on your right wrist?" The Man asked. Red checked and then nodded.

"Press down on it"

Red did as he said.

As soon as she pressed down on the lump, Red screamed. I just stared at her nails in shock.

"Woah. You're nails are literally like bear claws" I stated.

"This is weird" Red said and pressed the lump again. The claws went away.

The Man grinned and then walked out of the room, closing the laboratory door behind him.

"OI WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING? YOU DIDN'T ANSWER MY OTHER QUESTION"

I yelled from inside the cage. I screamed in frustration when he didn't answer.

I have been writing for two hours now. I'm going to try and sleep again.
