Dangerous Love

CHAPTER 5

I broke my promise to my babies. To always protect them. After that accident Oliver helped me to try to get my son back but there was no trace of the man who took Emiliano. I started to train to protect myself and Aurora. Oliver didn't know why Emiliano was taken. I think it might have been the same that attacked me when I first learned of my pregnancy. I have tried contacting gangsters and whoever I could to find him but, nothing. I failed, that didn't stop me. My mother came to NYC to help me take care of Aurora when I found leads about Emiliano and had to travel. Every time, they were dead ends. Either way I had to stay strong for Aurora. I had to have faith that I will find my baby boy one day...

~4 years later~

"Mommy?" Says my little angel.

"Yes baby?" I tell her while making the cookie batter.

"When is daddy coming back, doesn't he love us?" I look down at her. His sweet angel eyes look just like HIS but hers are full of light. I lean down and embrace her in a hug.

"Oh Aurora, of course he's coming back. He does love us but right now it's really difficult for him to be here for us." I pull away and her little blue eyes look at me with tears.

"I will always be here for you okay? He will be back for us. Always and forever remember?" I lied.

"Always and forever" she said giving me a hug

I lied to my baby that her father was coming for her. The truth is, she will never see him. She is safer like that and he doesn't know she exists. I changed her last name to the same as mine. I couldn't let anyone know she has a connection to Emilio especially since his last name is Italian. After some time of searching, I told Oliver everything. He was willing to stay quiet for me and with this he could find different leads somewhere else. And Angelica, well she also found love. She had a daughter named Sophia. With the way things were going we tried our best to stay safe.

Until recently.... I made the stupid mistake to come back to Florida bringing with me, Aurora

~1 year and a half later~

I was driving home from the airport to my mothers house. I got a lead here in Florida and I decided to visit family.

"It's a surprise that y'all came back to Miami, it's usually me who goes to y'all" my mother says. She was in the back seat with Aurora and Sophia. I was driving and Angelica was right next to me.

"I know, I just wanted to visit home" I say looking at the rear mirror. Always watching my back.

"Yes, but isn't it dangerous because you kn-" I cut her off before she says anything else.

"Mother. We will talk about this when we get home" I say checking the rear view mirror every once in a while.

"Yes she is right. it's not the time nor place" Angelica says.

"You're right. I'm sorry. My, my, you two little princesses have grown! Y'all are already 5 years old!" My mother says hugging them.

"I know, Aurora has the worst temper." I say laughing.

Just as we were laughing I heard car tires screeching. I quickly looked up and I saw two black SUV cars with dark tinted windows blocking my path. Without hesitation I reversed to go back but there were two more cars.

"Damn it!" I say hitting the steering wheel I looked at Angelica and then to my mother and the girls. They looked so scared. Angelica and I made sure the kids were protected so we trained and teached them too. We watched about five men get out of each car, I saw my mother was trembling with fear. The little girls had tears in their eyes.
