Chapter 1
4 yeas later...
Jay was preoccupied with his work and was seeking for a new engineer to work for him after his previous engineer quit due to his health. Because the engineer was diagnosed, he need a new one to assist him in completing the task of the former engineer by the end of the month to make the deadline.
Every day, the firm receives resumes, but none of them are qualified for the position. It exacerbated my condition, and as a result, I can't help but shout every day. After I completed reviewing the latest batch of resumes, I discovered that none of them addressed my expectations. I sigh as I toss the folders into the garbage can next to my desk.
I'm bored of doing it every day, and it appears that no one is truly equipped to do it. Why did this happen to Mr. Young while he was still working on his project? Before calling Jaya from outside, I sign again to calm down. She enters my office with a nervous expression on her face and stands in front of me, waiting for my instructions.
"Right now, tell HR to bring me another set of resumes," I wanted to scream, but Jaya looked afraid, so I kept my voice mild.
"Yes sir." and she left my office.
Jaya was catching her breath while clutching her chest. She thought her boss will scream at her again but it looks like he noticed that she was tense so he lowered himself not to frighten her more.
While I was on the phone with a customer, Jaya placed a new batch of resumes on my table. Mr. Young was in charge of the client, and since he is no longer here, it is up to me to continue negotiating with them while I hunt for a replacement engineer.
When lunchtime rolled around, I quickly contacted my cousin and we headed out to eat. It was quiet enough for us to go on with our lives without being interrupted. Sunghoon was eating his lunch while I was discussing the issue I was now dealing with. He appears unconcerned while as he takes his food, but that's him; you could believe he doesn't care about his surroundings, but you're mistaken. He is considerably more observant than I am, and his demeanor is simply his skin for him not to appear suspicious.
"That's really a huge problem, coz. You better move fast or your client will look for a new firm to work with them." I just sighed inconveniently. "Oh, I remember I have a friend his an engineer why not try to contact him, I'll send you his number after lunch."
"Thank you, coz. You're such a huge help. I'm grateful to have you as my cousin."
Sunghoon smirked. "Remember I'm your only cousin." Jay just laughs and the two continue eating. "By the way, you still have that bracelet, huh."
And Jay stared at his bracelet that he found 4 years ago. He still doesn't know who owns it since he was wasted that time. He didn't remember who was that person is other than the pleasure he felt that night.
Jay smirked. "It's like a new part of my body that I don't want to lose." and we both chuckle.
When lunch is over, we separate up, and I return to my workplace. Later, when inside the elevator, I received a message from my cousin. I pressed the notice and copied the number, then calls it without hesitation.
It didn't take a while before the other side answer the call. It was a deep voice of a man speaking in English. Goodness, that I can speak English it would be easy for me to negotiate with him. I cleared my throat and sigh before speaking with him.
"Hello who is this?" the man from the other side asks.
"Is this Mr. Lim? I'm Jay Park the CEO of Spark Enterprise."
