PROLOGUE

Jay was driving to work on a bright and beautiful morning. He was driving safely while listening to music, as he did every day on his way to and from work.

When he's upset, pissed, or anxious, he turns to music for consolation. It provides him with the same level of comfort that he is accustomed to.

While waiting for the traffic light to turn green he took his phone and dialed someone's number. When the other side pick up he let out a soft sigh before greeting the person he was calling.

"Morning coz." He greeted with a smile.

"Morning," the guy responded. "What is this about?" said the guy as he winced and groaned.

He didn't take it long and tell him what he wanted. "The files I ask you about, is it finished?" The guy from the other side just nodded as he speaks.

"Yeah, my secretary send it to you already, better check your email."

Jay smiles. "Good. Thank—" then he was interrupted.

"It's not for free so better compensate me." Then the call ended just like that.

Sunghoon, his cousin isn't like that. Maybe he acted that way because Jay interrupted his sleep. Jay just made a smirk while placing his phone down and maneuver the car to the company.

Upon entering his office, her secretary greeted him as she handed him a folder. While reading the folder his eyes sharpen as his brows knitted. Jaya, her secretary knows that look, and because of that, her chest starting to beat so fast. She'd been working for him for 4 years and hadn't gotten used to his demeanor throughout that time. She was that frightened by his employer.

She was expecting some tantrums from her boss— and there he is shouting angrily as he throws the folder caused the papers to be scattered all over the floor. She was just standing heads down, eyes on the floor waiting for his boss to instruct him what to do next. If it's not that her boss gave her a high salary she would have resigned and looked for another job. Of course, for her, money is her top priority.

Evening came, I'm now packing my bag for tomorrow's flight to Barcelona, Spain. I'll be attending an event with other businessmen and women around the globe. Actually, I wasn't planning to go, but my dad insisted like I have any other choice and so, I agreed to attend on his behalf.

My cousin Sunghoon will be coming with me. I persuade him to come over so I won't be bored at the event. I hate parties, events, or whatsoever, but for the sake of my father's request, I'll do it. He will always be the decision-maker whenever it's about the company. He planned for the company's success like every other business owner's dream. Being well-known will always have a positive influence on the firm and its sales.

In less than 24 hours I and Sunghoon arrived at the airport and was looking for the car that my secretary booked and will accompany us until we left-back for the country. While inside the car leaning in the soft seat watching the scenery from the outside I felt my chest become nervous all of a sudden. This will be the first time he steps into this country if not because of his dad he would never know how beautiful the country is.

He was enjoying the houses and tall buildings as they pass over to the hotel they'll be staying at. Everything was settled by her secretary and he was grateful to have a reliable one.

Minutes later, they have arrived at the hotel and he walked towards the front desk to speak with the lady behind the counter about the rooms they had reserved. It only takes a while before they enter the elevator to their room floor. I and Sunghoon will be in different rooms since I hate sleeping with another person.
