CHAPTER 2

You might be wondering why Heeseung and Jake's surnames are 'Lim,' since they are brothers in this novel, and I needed to come up with a surname for them, so I just added both their true surnames and ended with that surname, which is 'Lim.' I'm hoping you'll understand.

Chapter 2

When Heeseung awakened, he quickly made himself a hangover drink. He was now suffering from a minor headache. A phone call arrived on his phone when he was blowing his hangover drink. It started yesterday, and he hasn't bothered to answer it till today.

He was sick of hearing his phone ring, so he picked it up and answered it after a long sigh. After the other side introduced himself, he was taken aback. He still can't believe he's being called by the CEO of Spark Enterprise. Before responding to the man on the opposite side, he raised himself and cleared his throat.

"Yes, it's me," I said, intrigued. I hadn't yet sent my résumé to each company, so what was this? "Can you tell me what it's about?" "

Before speaking, he let out a sigh. "I have a vacancy for you, and I would appreciate it if you took it."

"And, Mr. Park, what exactly is that position you're offering?" "

"To be my Engineering Manager," says the man from the other side.

As he stated, my lips were widely split, making a broad smile. "Yes, I'll take it," I answer without hesitation in response to his offer. This is the luckiest day of my life. How could I be lucky if the bracelet that brings me luck is no longer with me? This is simply incredible news, and I still can't believe it.

"Good, and I'll be expecting you tomorrow. I think that's all, see you at work then, Engr. Lim."

"Thank you, Mr. Park," was all I could say until the phone ended, still stunned and amazed. I was still as I stood at the counter, looking at nothing.

That was an unexpected chance for me, and I pledge to try my best to repay his kindness by working diligently. What made him know my personal phone number? I exclusively give them to family and close friends. Maybe someone might give it.

Lucky me!

I spent the entire day at home, enjoying myself before returning to work. All I did was watch movies and read books. I played some music while dancing syncing with the beat. This is really amazing. At night I cook a delicious dinner for myself since I got lucky unexpectedly after so many years.

I'm hummed as I enjoy the delicious flavor of the dish I prepared. I'm not a great cook, but with the aid of the internet, I can still make decent cuisine. The night came it didn't just simply end without my brother calling me. He congratulate me that surprised me. Is Jake that close to Spark Enterprise's CEO?

"So it's you who recommend me to the Spark Enterprise." as I grinned nonchalantly.

Jake simply smiles at his older brother's statement. "Actually, he made a mistake and mistook me as Engr. Lim, which is not," I said, my mouth gaping agape. He concluded, "I suppose it was Sunghoon, a buddy of mine, who gave Mr. Park my number because he doesn't have yours."

"I see," I said and paused. "But bro, still thank you without you and your friend I would never have this job."

Jake shrugged with his brother's remark. "Hyung, I'm thankful to help, but that help isn't enough for what you did to me to our family when you were still in Barcelona."

Jake felt really fortunate to have a sibling-like him. He is aware of what occurred to his brother while he was working in another country. It wasn't easy for him, so his brother works several jobs to send them money, especially when his father was admitted to the hospital. They required a large sum of money to cover his father's medical expenses.
