Did it ever happen that you tried to run from something but it came closer? The further you went the nearer it became, the faster you ran the slower it became to run from it. Had it ever happened to you when you were embarrassed and wished to hide in your blanket but ended up standing in front of the person who made you feel like that? Had it?
Haajar sighed before she rested her head on the wall. She closed her eyes and groaned. Why - she asked to herself. I could have been speared for just one day, just one. At least the very next day.
Alessia came out of the kitchen and was walking back to the room when she found Haajar near the entrance. She frowned as she said, "What happened to you today? What gibberish are you murmuring?"
"Why did you call him here today? Why do you call him so often? He isn't going to help us with the trials. He gave us all the information, now we do not need him. Why do we meet him every now and then?"
"William has been here every single day but I never saw you complain about that. That is what you must complain about. This poor kid rarely visits us. We often talk on the phone. He doesn't even come to trials because of his work. What are you talking about?"
"Why is he here? Today, why is he here? Today matters."
"Why? Anyway," Alessia shook her head, "he said he wanted to talk to me about something, that is why he is here. Is everything alright? Did something happen?"
"No."
"Then why have you been glued to the wall ever since he came? Are you trying to bury yourself in it? I don't think you can fit here. Try the one in the bedroom. It's broader." Alessia patted Haajar shoulder before she walked to Raiyan. Haajar remained in her spot, trying to hide her face as much as she could.
Raiyan frowned in concern when he saw Haajar still resting her head on the wall. Alessia caught those worried eyes and waved her hands. "She is fine. Just a little moody." She sat on the chair and smiled at him. "So what is it that you want to ask?"
"It is about the case. I mean the properties. We are using the fact that my brother named everything after him and took everything from us. Now that means everything. However, I am not interested in that. I just want to save this house and nothing else but as we are claiming that everything belonged to my father and not my brother, in case we win, does that mean we win everything? Will the court take away all the properties from them?"
"Is that what you want us to do?"
"No! I want nothing else. My niece and nephew can have it. I do not desire to take away anything from them. It is good that their future is secured. I want it that way. I do not want anything else. I don't even want the fair share. Just that house is enough."
"Noted. I will make sure that is how things turn out. Although we can get you your fair share. It is only fair."
"I am fine."
"Okay. We will get working on it."
Abruptly the door opened and William rushed in. "I found it! I found it!"
"What?" Haajar said as she started to walk closer. "Did you record your partner accepting his crime like you wanted to try?"
"No! I did not see him. I was not in a mood. But I found a support group or discussion group where I can fit in! What is it called support or discussion, or is it something else? Hey! Raiyan. Didn't see you there. You should eat something and gain weight. You are not visible." Raiyan smiled as a response but soon frowned at his remark. "I was actually very confused," William walked around the sofa to sit on the other side. "Should I go to a group for divorcees or alcoholics because it was a problem until recently or is there a group which discusses betrayal or maybe something which I am going through? It was confusing."
