Forget everything you think you know about werewolves. All those stupid shows and movies and books don't know what they're talking about. Well, for the most part. Until recently they hadn't been getting even the transformation right. I mean, the Wolfman? Seriously? Hilarious. Hi-freaking-larious.

We turn into wolves. Regular sized wolves, not the crazy jumbo sized things you read about in Twilight or saw in the Vampire Diaries. We just turn into regular, normal-ish wolves. Our coat fur matches our hair color in our human form and so do our eyes. It's how we recognize each other in wolf form and in human form.

Werewolves have been in this world for centuries upon centuries. Our history and genealogy runs deep. There are four familes in this world that essentially govern the rest of the werewolf population. There are the Carlisles, a family who's blood runs thick with one of the last Queens from over a century ago, the de Klerks, who has ties to the British royal family, the Fausts, who's only claim to fame is a lucky draw for an author in their line that made them rich, and the Mac Coluims, a family who has been bred for centuries from Queens.

They govern the werewolf world when there is no Queen to do it. Werewolf Queens are born only once every hundred years or so. Every werewolf is born with bright yellow eyes, a trademark of our kind. But the Queens are told apart by their unnatural coloring. Queens can be born with any eye color imaginable. They stand even above Alphas in a pack. The Alphas are just like mayors, and can be either male or female. But there are no werewolf kings, only Queens.

They are known for their irresistable beauty and their charm. Even if they don't know what they are, they know they are different. Queens have a way about them that draws everyone in, makes them want to know her. But a Queen is picky, she will befriend everyone she meets but only care about a select few. The governing families fight to be among these few, in hopes that the Queen will choose to love the wolf they've offered and lead them to have a prosperous lineage.

But should they try to coerce her, God help them, for the Queen's wrath is that of nightmares.
