The Reason Why [2YEON]

AN: Hello readers, sorry I took a long holiday :,) I was busy in real life. Uni have been crazy. But here's an update 😊

Weeks later.

Jeongyeon laid in bed, Nayeon was laying on her chest and Yeojin was in her baby room. Jeongyeon stared at the alarm clock which was next to the baby monitor.

It was 3:45 am

In a few hours she would go to the court again and everything would be decided. These past few weeks have been the best and worst of her life.

The best because she had been with her family. Nayeon and her were spending every second they could with Yeojin. And the worst because the anxiety was eating her away, this court thingy was more stressful than she thought. When she was at the last hearing and it was her turn on the hot seat, Jinyoung's lawyer nailed her part away.

She couldn't help but let out a sigh at the memory of the hearing. The only good thing was that, today they would hear her side of the story and hopefully if she did it right, it would make up for the last hearing and they would win.

Jeongyeon moved slightly trying not to wake Nayeon up, that however was no use.

"Mmm, what's wrong? What time is it?" Nayeon slurred.

Jeongyeon cleared her throat, "It's almost 4 in the morning...go back to sleep,"

Nayeon did the opposite, she yawned before moving and putting her chin on Jeongyeon's chest. She looked up, so she could look at her.

"You're stressing about the hearing today?" Nayeon asked softly.

Jeongyeon bit her lip, "Just a little,"

"Don't worry about it, you'll do great. You know, so much bad stuff has happened to us recently that something good is bound to happen this time,"

Jeongyeon let out a small smile feeling a little bit better, "Yeah maybe,"

Nayeon snuggled up closer and leaned in pressing her lips against Jeongyeon's. Jeongyeon couldn't help but letting out a sigh in responds, her hands made their way towards Nayeon's body pulling her close.

"I love you so much," Jeongyeon mumbles as she gives her another kiss.

Nayeon smiles as her thumb traces over Jeongyeon's lips.

"I love you too,"

Jeongyeon rolled in her bed and stretches her arm out to grab Nayeon but was met with cold sheets and a pillow. She slowly opened her eyes, only to confirm that Nayeon wasn't there. She turned to the alarm clock and saw that it was 7:45 am, she had barely sleep for a few hours. 

Jeongyeon turned to the baby monitor and saw that it was turned off and as it was on queue she heard the soft cries of a baby.

Her baby.

Jeongyeon got out of the bed, stretching her body once again before heading over to Yeojin's room. The closer she got, the louder the cries got. Jeongyeon opened the door and saw a panic looking Nayeon who was gently rocking Yeojin in her arms, as the baby cried. 

Nayeon looked as if she was about to cry too.

"Baby, what's going on?" Jeongyeon asked, as she made her way over to her girls. She rubbed Nayeon's back, trying to calm the almost crying mother.

"Yeojin won't stop crying and she's kind of warm." Nayeon explained, a lone tear finally run down her left cheek. "Jeongyeon-ah, what do we do?" Nayeon said worriedly, starting to sob. The lone tear before becomes a waterfall now.
