The Reason Why [2YEON]

Late!

That's what she was. Nayeon had been waiting at the Café for almost an hour and Jeongyeon hadn't showed up.

Was this a joke to her? Nayeon wondered.

All morning she had been debating whether or not to come and now that she did, Jeongyeon hadn't even showed up. That's just great! How was Nayeon supposed to trust her with anything that had to do with the baby? Maybe she didn't know Jeongyeon that well but what she did know right now, was that she wasn't very reliable.

She looked down at her coffee and sighed. She should probably go home, she had been hoping to talk to Jeongyeon about the doctor's appointment that she was going to have in a while, but that obviously wasn't going to happen.

"Nayeon,"

Nayeon looked up and standing before her was Jeongyeon. And she looked absolutely wrecked, it's not that she was dress bad, she had a great style, but the shade on her face gave it all away.

"Jeongyeon," Nayeon greeted her as she sat down, "You're late,"

"I know," Jeongyeon sighed, "My alarm didn't go off and I-I just had a long night," Why the hell was she stuttering? Why was she so nervous around Nayeon?

"I bet," Nayeon grimaced.

Jeongyeon shook her head, "That's not what I meant...Is that coffee?" Jeongyeon couldn't help herself and took Nayeon's coffee, taking a long sip from it.

"Yeah that is MY coffee," Nayeon complained.

Once again Jeongyeon shook her head, "Mm-hmm coffee's bad for the baby, you're not supposed to drink any,"

"I don't even like black coffee. But I guess the baby wants to try so I got it." Nayeon stopped for a second, realizing what had happened. "Wait how do you know that coffee is not good for the baby?"

"Well, Chaeng and Dahyun have been giving me tips about babies," Jeongyeon shrugged, "They are excited,"

"Are you hung over?" Nayeon asked in disbelief as she examined Jeongyeon.

"It's part of the job," Jeongyeon sighed taking off her shades to rub her eyes.

"Drinking is part of your job?" Nayeon asked confused, "What do you work as? A bartender?"

"Look, that's exactly why I wanted to meet you here. Because even though we're about to have a baby together, we don't know the first thing about each other," Jeongyeon explained, "I would at least like to know that you're not a serial killer on the loose or a human trafficker,"

Nayeon bit her lip, Jeongyeon did have a point. They didn't know the first thing about each other and if they were going to be a part of each other's life then the least they could do was get to know each other, but they still weren't exactly on good terms.

"I'm not a killer and I'm not a human trafficker," Nayeon finally said.

"That's good to know," Jeongyeon said as she continued to sip from Nayeon's coffee.

"What about you? What do you do?" Nayeon asked, "What kind of job made you drink and have 'long nights'"

Jeongyeon couldn't help but let out a small smile at the way Nayeon said it, "I'm a DJ and I also co-own a company called ONCE Productions with Momo, Dahyun, Chaeng and Tzuyu,"

Nayeon was impressed. She figured Jeongyeon to be living on a trust fund or something of that sort, but she actually had a job.

"You seem rather surprise?"

Nayeon cleared her throat, "You just don't seem like the type to know responsibility though that does explain why you would think I was a gold digging whore,"
