Hello, I'm the author! Now before you read this book there are somethings that I need to clear up first in order for the duels to make sense.
1) Duels:
Master Duels:
Master duels are the basic way of dueling. However, you'll start with 8000 Life Points instead of 4000, and that's it. No action cards, no action field spells, and no motorcycles.
Action Duels:
Action duels are different. In an Action Duel you'll start with 4000 Life Points. There is also Action Fields. Action Fields change the environment and create obstacles, these don't take space in the field zone, so field spells are still allowed to be played. Scattered all over the Action Fields are Action Spells. Action Spells are quick-play spells that can be played at any phase or chain in the duel, you can only have one Action spell in your hand, however you are allowed to grab more if you place it face down in your Spell and Trap zone.
2) Battle Royals:
A Battle Royal happens when three or more Duelist engage in a duel. The only real difference is that no one can declare an attack on the first turn.
3) Banlist:
In terms of a Banlist. . . The world of Yugioh doesn't have a Banlist, mainly because I'm too lazy to create duels that have decks which have to be legal in a Banlist, that constantly changes every few months or so. So yeah, I'm not including a Banlist, but I'll do my best to make the duels as fair as possible.
4) Extra Monster Zone:
Alright, I've given it some thought, and I've decided not to include the Extra Monster Zone. This means that there won't be any Link Monsters.
5) When the chapters take place:
The First Chapter is going to take place before Ep.7 and a little bit after Ep. 2, Chapter 2 is going to take place a day after Ep. 26 and then the rest of the chapters will continue from that point.
6) Which version I'm going to use:
I'm going with the Dubbed version of the anime, because that's what's currently available to me right now.
That's all. You are now free to read the book and you can't say that the duels don't make sense, unless you find a mistake and tell me which I'm probably just going to fix it and deny that there was ever even a mistake. So, on that note "Bonne Lecture!"
