Announcer: HHHEEEEELLLLOOOOOO DUEL FANS!! Welcome back to the final round of the ARC LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS. Right now, our two finalists, Kaito Kadoya and Declan Akaba are neck and neck, but will it stay that way!? Let's find out!
In a giant stadium two young boys are in a duel. Every seat is taken, and the crowd is cheering at the top of their lungs.
Kaito: It's my turn! I DRAW!
Turn 13
Kaito - 100 LP, Monsters: None, 4 cards in hand, 12 cards in grave.
Declan - 1900 LP, Monsters: D/D/D Gust King Alexander, 1 card in hand, 15 cards in grave, Faceup Spell: Dark Contract with the Gate, 1 facedown.
Gust King Alexander - 2500 ATK (Synchro) LV7
Kaito: I summon Dark Blade!
A warrior wearing pitch black armor and wielding twin blades appears on Kaito's side of the field.
Dark Blade - 1800 ATK (Normal) LV4
Dark Blade: HURRRAAAAHHH!
Declan: Quite the scary monster. However, it's ATK points aren't enough to defeat my King! Face it, you've lost.
Kaito: Hmph. Maybe, but Dark Blade won't be alone in this fight! I activate Monster Reborn!
Declan: What!?
Kaito: With Monster Reborn, I bring back Kiryu from my graveyard, then I'll activate his special ability! Since Dark Blade is on the field, I can equip Kiryu to Dark Blade giving him 900 more ATK points.
Dark Blade gets on top of the slim red dragon that was just summoned, boosting his strength.
Dark Blade - 1800 ATK --> 2700 ATK
Dark Blade: RRRRAAAAAHHHHH!!!
Declan: (Hmph, if his monster destroys mine, then I'll take 200 points of damage. I'll still have enough LP to survive and on my next turn I can activate my Dark Contact with the Gate to add level 4 or lower D/D monster to my hand. On my next turn I'll win.)
Kaito: Now I'll activate Kiryu's second effect!
Declan: Second effect?
Kaito: That's right! Kiryu's effect allows my Dark Blade to attack you directly!
Declan: Oh no!
Kaito: Now go! Twin Blades!
Dark Blade rides Kiryu at a fast speed towards Declan, but Gust King Alexander uses his sword to try and stop Dark Blade. As Gust King Aleander swings his sword Dark Blade jumps off Kiryu and lands right in front of Declan.
Declan: Ah!
Declan uses his arms to block while Dark Raises his blades and swings at Declan. However, since Dark Blade is a hologram, instead of cutting Declan, Dark Blade passes through him.
Declan - 1900 LP --> 100 LP
Announcer: What a spectacular play! Kaito and Declan are now evenly match!
