The Doctor and Vanadey had taken Rory and Amy to meet their new friend. The one that helped them get inside the Calvierri school.
Currently, Vanadey was thinking of what to do and how to get back into the Calvierri school, but the only idea she had, she knew the Doctor would deny.
"As you saw, there's no clear way in." Guido, the Doctor's and Vanadey's friend, the man that was searching for his daughter, said as he slapped an open map onto the table. "The House of Calvierri is like a fortress. But-"
"We always love a but." Vanadey scoffed, thinking the news was bad. Although, how could it get worse?
"Love, i think he's going to say something good." The Doctor said to Vanadey, who sighed.
"We'll see, Doctor." She replied, slightly leaning on the Doctor's right side of his body.
"But, there's a tunnel underneath it, with a ladder and shaft that leads up to the house." Guido finished and Vanadey sighed as she watched the dark skinned man trail his finger along the map to where this ladder and shaft would be. She knew it was no use...unless someone was inside. "I tried to get in once myself, but i hit a trapdoor." Upon hearing this new piece of information, Vanadey threw her hands in the air, slapping it against her legs afterwards.
"You see?" She hissed to the Doctor. "Someone-"
"You need someone on the inside." Amy proclaimed as she stood straighter.
"Yes, exactly, Amy." Vanadey agreed, smiling to her sister.
"No." The Doctor said firmly, imediately shutting the absurd idea down.
"You don't even know what i was going to say!" Amy argued and Vanadey scoffed.
"Amy, we all do." Vanadey sighed and the Doctor looked at both Pond's.
"We pretend you're an applicant for the school to get you inside." The Doctor started before turning to Vanadey. "You want to go with her. And then tonight, you and Amy come down and open the trapdoor to let us in."
"Oh."
"Yeah. Amy, i told you we all know what you were going to say." Vanadey replied, the Doctor sent Vanadey an exasperated look.
"Love, listen...i know you want to help but please...don't want to help everyone you meet for just a minute." The Doctor begged, but Vanadey sighed.
"Doctor-"
"Are you insane?" Rory finally asked, cutting Vanadey off from what she was going to say.
"We don't have another option." Amy argued with her fiance, who looked at her incredulously.
"He said no, Amy." Rory bit back. "Listen to him."
"There is another option." Guido announced, and when everyone looked at him, he pointed at Rory, who pointed at himself. "I work at the Arsenale. We build the warships for the navy." As Guido was speaking, the Doctor was sniffing around the barrels.
"Gunpowder." He said after identifying what was inside the wooden barrels. "Most people just nick stationary from where they work. Look, i have a thing about guns and huge quantities of explosive."
"What do you suggest, then?" Guido asked impatiently as he slammed his fist on the table. "We wait until they turn her into an animal?"
"Me and Annie will be there three, four hours tops." Amy spoke up, still hanging onto her idea. The Doctor looked at Amy as if seriously contemplating the idea before glancing at Vanadey. Images of what happened on their last adventure hit him like a truck. She almost died because he told her to stay where she was, which was away from him. Look where that got her.
