"I'd say you've got a fair bit to talk about." The Doctor said with a rather cheery voice, which made Vanadey frown. She had a sinking gut feeling that it wasn't over. They couldn't get out of this mess this easily. She reminded herself on how dangerous the last adventure was, and how hard it was to decide which world was what...and they were supposed to be let go that easily? With a shake of her head, Vanadey crossed her arms over her stomach and stepped towards the Doctor. She didn't touch him, but as an arm snaked its way around her waist, she instantly sinked into the warmth that radiated from the Doctor.
"How so?" The really old lizard asked, and the Doctor hummed a little.
"You both want the planet." He pointed out, which was true. Humans were a greedy race. "You both have a genuine claim to it."
"Are you authorised to negotiate on behalf of humanity?" The lizard questioned, which made the Doctor scoff.
"Me?" He asked, pointing at himself before chuckling. "No! But they are!" The bow-tie wearing alien pointed at Amy and Nazreen.
"What?!" Nazreen screeched, which made Vanadey place her head in her hands. They weren't setting a good example for the human race, right now, so their chances of leaving were quickly lessening.
"No, we're not!" Amy firmly stated and Vanadey quietly groaned.
"Course you are!" The Doctor argued with a glare, as though he had just heard the most outrageous thing ever. "Amy Pond and Nasreen Chaudhry, speaking for the planet!" He raised his hand to point at the two woman who were sat opposed to the old lizard before he released his arm from Vanadey's waist and walked towards them. "Humanity couldn't have better ambassadors." He patten each of their shoulders before walking away from them. "Come on, who has more fun than us?"
However, Vanadey frowned as Amy was quick to stand and walk towards the Doctor, a small skip in her step as her mind was bursting at the seams with curiosity.
"Is this what happens, in the future? The planet gets shared?" She asked with excitement and, at that, Nasreen stood and walked towards them. "Is that what we need to do?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Oh, Nasreen, sorry," the Doctor apologised and Vanadey sucked in a deep breath, wishing that she could just go home, to the TARDIS. "Probably worth mentioning at this stage, Amy, Ada and I travel in time, a bit."
"Anything else?" Nasreen asked, glancing behind her shoulders to look at a slightly aggrivated looking Vanadey before she looked at the Doctor and Amy once more.
"There are fixed points through time," the Doctor began, "where things must always stay the way they are." He then looked at everyone else in the room with a small smile. "This is not one of them. This is an opportunity, a temporal tipping point. Whatever happens today, will change future events, create its own timeline, its own reality. The future pivts around you. Here. Now. So do good. For humanity, and for Earth."
"Right." Amy said with a tight lipped smile as she began to turn away from her friend. "No pressure there, then!"
"We can't share the planet." Nasreen argued and Vanadey tutted, walking towards the Doctor and the drill-woman. Looking at Nasreen with a frown, Vanadey began to speak.
"You can. Whether they're aliens, lizard people or not, you can share the planet." She said, and Nasreen shook her head. "Don't be selfish, Nasreen. Had you not strived for a record for drilling, we wouldn't be here. This...is your...fault." Vanadey squinted her eyes at the woman in front her, completely oustounded by how selfish she was being when, true to her word, she was the reason they were all down here. Nasreen woke up the lizard people.
