"Eomma...how did you meet Appa?"

Eomma goes silent and she starts to smile.

"Well my little rabbit...we met in a very...interesting way. Would you like to hear it?"

The child's eyes gleamed as she sat up in her bed.

"Yes Yes! Tell me Eomma! Tell me!"

Eomma laughed and ruffled the little girl's black hair.

"You and you're need for stories...alright, this will be your bedtime story for tonight. Settle down now."

The child snuggled herself comfortably in her sheets. Eomma sat down at the foot of her bed.

"It all started in elementary school, where I first layer eyes on your father. He was a kind boy, always the one to give out the crayons, always the one who was looking out for others. We became friends and started growing up together. In middle school, we became best friends and this friendship continued all the way to high school where it eventually blossomed into love..."

Eomma went on to tell the child her stories with her husband, stories that made the child laugh at the silliness of them.

"Wow Eomma...that's very romantic."

Eomma smiles and brushed a lock of hair behind her child's ear.

"It is honey."

"Will my love story be the same?"

Eomma chuckles at the child's innocence.

"No my child, no one's love story is ever the same. Humans are amazing, we all fall in love with different people in different ways and for different reasons."

The child processed this.

"What were you're reasons Eomma?" she asks. Eomma smiled warmly.

"Your father is a kind man, that's how he won my heart."

"He's kind?"

"Yes my angel."

"If he's so kind...why does he hate me so much?"

Eomma bit her bottom lip and sighed.

"Who said he hates you darling? He loves you, he's just taking some time to adjust to being a father," she lied. The child bought it and nodded her head in understanding.

"So...he'll treat me better in the future?"

Eomma cupped the child's cheek.

"He will sunshine, he will..."

The child giggled and smiled.

"Okay then! I'll wait!" she declared. Eomma laughed and kissed her on the forehead.

"Good girl. Eomma loves you so much."

"I love you too Eomma."

Eomma tucked her into bed.
