"What were you guys talking about?" I asked.
He looked away and didn't respond.
"Cal."
Still no response.
I used both my hands and dragged his face to face me. "I need to know."
He sighed and removed my hands.
"We were talking about..." His voice was fading.
"What did you say?"
"We were talking about this best friend I fell in love with for awhile now." He said as he faced down.
"Oh Cal..." I put my hand onto his left shoulder but he immediately removed it.
"Don't 'oh Cal' me! You knew I'd do anything and everything for you because you're my bestfriend. You knew that I'm in love with you since high school! We were there since third grade, Michael and I. We supported you with whatever decision you make. We were all so happy until Luke came to the picture. You were all Luke this and Luke that! I-it's...It's just unfair. So unfair." He explained as his eyes were beginning to water.
"Cal, I didn't know you were hurting. I thought you would understand..."
"Well, now you know. But you know what? I'm tired. I'm sick, and tired of chasing you. I'm done. I'm gonna move on." He stood up and walked towards the exit door.
"CALUM THOMAS HOOD DON'T BE SO DRAMATIC!!!" I walked towards him and shook him. I then stopped amd sighed. He was now facing me and my head was resting in his chest.
He's not the only one whose tired.
I looked up at him and stood on my two feet. "Look. We're not in high school anymore. You're 19 and I'm 18. I'm not that immature anymore. To be honest, I want to forget him. That's why I ran away. It was really unfair of me to shut down everyone that has any relation with Luke. I tried everything to forget it. It worked for sometime, but then he just showed up. I'm really flattered that you like me and I'm really sorry if I didn't consider your feelings in this situation. It's just...too much to handle. With a lot of problems in my shoulders, I don't know what to solve first. I hope you understand."
We remained silent for awhile, maybe he was still sinking all those info in.
"I-I'm sorry too. Anyways, I really meant what I said earlier. I'm gonna find a way to...move on." He muttered.
"But we can still be best friends, right? I mean, Cynthesizer is Cal - Pal's sidekick." I asked with a smile.
He then grinned, which I'm really happy to see. "Of course, you weirdo." He then ruffled my hair.
I hate it when he ruffles my hair so I whined not to do it again.
Which he'll probably do anyway.
"I should be going. Thanks for the meal and the movie." He waved goodbye and exited the house.
I huffed after he left and fixed my hair.
I HATE being emotionally exhausted. It feels like sh*t.

We're now at our apartment (yeah we own one) and Michael was being a brag...again.
"That loser was no match for my skillz." Michael bragged.
"You were swearing and panicing the whole time you and that guy were playing." I commented.
"You're just jealous. Hmph. Typical loser issues." Michael stuck his tongue as I rolled my eyes.
"Well you did cheat." Ashton butted in, him approaching us from the kitchen.
