The Nightmare Before Christmas

Chapter 6

"This has never happened before." Murray said. All of the Halloween crowd gathered around after they heard that the king and Mikey are missing and didn't came back. Amy said, "It's very suspicious." The crows nodded.

As the Ghouls are talking and worrying, the mortals sneaked around them carefully not to get spotted. They hid behind the big crates. The adults took a peak to see if the ghouls are still minding their business, especially wondering what was going on.

Jasmine noticed there's a gate near by. They're getting close. She hushed the kids, "Shh." The normal people moved quietly and slowly, not to get any attention. They managed to get past them, but someone grabbed Jasmine from behind.

Ratchet pulled her up and said, "There you are, Jas." The mortals groaned before they were forced to come out from their hiding spot since they're now caught.

Sam noticed Guy and gasped happily before tackle hug him and said snuzzling him, "Oh, Guy! Thank goodness you're still here!" Guy said as he trying pulled back Sam who was giving him kisses, "Come on, Sam! Knock it off!"

Rivet said, "Glad that we saw you and your friends, Jas. Listen, Shoutmon is still missing and we've got to find him." Ballistomon said, "Yeah! There's only 365 days left til the next Halloween." Werehog Sonic corrected him, "364." Alice asked, "Really?" Gaia asked, "Don't you mean you've only got a year until the next Halloween?" Chip said, "Gaia! Alice!" She asked, "What? They do got a lots of time, don't they?"

Ballistomon asked, "Has anyone find the king or Mikey? Any places we haven't checked?" Murray said, "Nope. I looked everywhere at his favorite place. Every mausoleum and they're not there." Rouge said, "Me and Amy opened the sarcophagi." Alister said as he appeared with Sonja, "Sonja and I looked in the pumpkin patch." Jasmine asked, "Hey Sonja, where were you before your friend came along?" Sonja said, "I was wondering around the town for a bit. I was about to leave but Alister came by and said that Shoutmon is missing." Jim said, "My brothers and me peaked behind the cyclops' eye. But he wasn't there."

Chip said, "Hey, here's an idea. How about me and my family will look outside of the town? You all could continue to search around here while we search out there." Ballistomon said, "Nice try, Chip. But just before Shoutmon went missing, he told me that none of you are leaving the town. From now on, you all stay in or near the castle until he gets back. It's time to sound the alarms!" A little mummy twirling around the screeching cat alarm.

As everyone in Halloween Town are continuing worrying about Shoutmon and Mikey, the mortals are forced to stay in Shoutmon's castle until further notice.

The mortals were in the room as Lunamon looked out the window for a bit. Lunamon said, "Ohh! This is getting ridiculous." Sonja said, "What can we do? We can't leave with so many people are keeping an eye on us." Jasmine whispered, "Especially there's a purple dragon here with us." She pointed the dragon that is sleeping on her lap. Guy added in whispered pointing at the sleeping Chickeraffe, "And this crazy beast." Chip said, "I still can't believe that these two really likes both of you." Jasmine said, "Us neither."

Tom said, "Mom, I'm getting hungry." Eric said, "So am I." Cikachu said, "I'm hungry too, Mother." The kids starting to complain that they are hungry. Lucy said, "I'm sorry, children. We didn't bring anything to eat. Only candies. Which none of you can eat now."

Lunamon thinks a minute and wondered, "Maybe I can make something out of it." She walks to the kitchen, walked towards the counter, and opened the doors. "Let's see. What do they have?" She looked around and everything they have in the cabinet. But everything looks so disgusting. Especially sounds disgusting. Frog's Breath, Worm's Wort, Deadly Night Shade, and other stuff.

Lunamon's face turns green by reading these. But maybe she can make it less disgusting, like a soup.

After 14 minutes of cooking, Lunamon made a homemade soup. Lunamon called, "Kids, lunch!" The kids ran to the table and sat down on the chairs. Lunamon and Jasmine who was helping place a bowls of soups in the table in front of the kids.

The little ones looked at the soups and they made afraid faces. Even their face turned a little green. Peter L. asked, "So, who's going to be the first one to try it?" No one volunteer.

Gumdramon ran in the dining room and sat down on the chair as Jasmine placed another bowl of soup in front of him. He asked, "Hey everyone, what's for lunch? Mmm, smells good." He took a sip.

He asked when he noticed his new friends didn't try the soup, "Aren't you guys going to have some?" Jasmine said when no kids response, "Come on, kids. Lunamon worked so hard to make this soup." Lunamon said, "Yes kids, at least..." She " accidentally " dropped her spoon. "Oops."

She picked up a new spoon, took a sip of her soup and said, "Mmm. See kids? Delicious." The kids looked at Lunamon scared for a second before tried the soup. Turns out that it was good.

Instead of using the spoons, 21 kids drink the whole bowl.

Next morning, both Gumdramon and Polly burped after eating too much of Lunamon's soup. Some people in town were gathering around, sitting on the steps outside of Shoutmon's castle, feeling that they have no idea what to do.

Gumdramon said rubbing his tummy, "Oh man. I'm stuffed." Doc Croc said, "That's what you get for eating the soup too much. Same thing with you, Yoyo." Yoyo said, "Hey, I can't help it. Boy Poll, your aunt's soup is the best." "I know." Polly said before burped. "Excuse me."

Ballistomon who was laying on the ground, feeling bored asked, "Does anyone else feel like dredge the lake?" Jasmine shooked her head and said while petting Ratchet's ear, "Mm-mmm. Don't look at me. I'm not doing the dredging thing." Ratchet felt Jasmine stopped petting his fur ear and said, "Hey, I didn't say you can stop." She said, "Oh, sorry." She returned petting his ear and start scratching his chin. Ratchet moaning while he's enjoying the scratch, "Oh yeah. That feel so good." That feeling made one of his legs twitching and kicking. Qwark asked while in vibrant, "Will you stop it?" Jasmine said, "Oops." She placed her finger on Ratchet's nose to make him stop kicking.

Then, everyone hears a horn beeping. Rivet who was resting her head on Jasmine's shoulder asked, "You hear that?" Jasmine asked, "Hmm? Hear what?" Ratchet got up from her lap and hushed her, "Shh." Jim recognized the horn beeping and said, "I know that horn." The gate open as the car entered the Halloween Town. In the car is Shoutmon driving with Mikey next to him. And he has so many stuffs packed in the bags in the backseat.

Sam called, "Shoutmon's back!" The people cheering and ran to the car to greet Shoutmon. The mortals looked at each other, wondering what's in those bags.

Gumdramon ran to his dad and said, "Dad! Dad, you came back! I was so worried about you." Shoutmon got out of the car before opened his arms for Gumdramon to jump in and hugged him.

Ballistomon asked, "Where have you been?" Shoutmon said, "Call the town meeting and I'll tell everyone all about it." He asked, "When?" The king said, "Immediately!"
