Hours had passed as we had returned to packing what we would need for our trip. However, though I would have wanted to take more than I was able, we had to take the necessities more than anything. Quickly, I ran downstairs and grabbed my laptop before rushing back up the stairs to put them in my bag.

“Going high!” I said as I passed Lewis in the hallway. I lifted the laptop above my head whilst he moved the basket he carried so that it was nearer my waist. Swiftly, I moved so that the basket didn’t touch me.

“Going low,” Lewis said jokingly. I giggled shyly as I entered my bedroom once again before I slipped my laptop into my bag along with the charger. “Don’t forget, we can’t take half of your wardrobe with us!” Lewis called several minutes later.

“I know! I know! It’s not like I’m an ordinary woman!”

“I know, you’re just a fricking horder!” Replied Lewis.

“Shushy!”

“So you’re not going to deny it then?” Lewis questioned as he leant against the door frame of my bedroom, one eyebrow raised as he watched me.

“I am not that bad,” I said, my voice holding a hint of cockiness to it. I will admit, when I said that I did sound rather matter-of-fact.

“You horde,”

“No I don’t,”

“I am terrified to open your wardrobe in case there is an avalanche of stuff fall from Mount Riley’s Secret Stash,” Lewis joked.

“I am not that bad and I will prove it through what I pack,”

“What have you packed so far?” Asked Lewis as he approached me. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed the side of my neck.

“My laptop, chargers, and underwear,”

“Can’t you decide what to take with you?”

“I need things for summer and for winter but I also need to consider-” instead of completing my sentence, I glanced over my shoulder as I forced the black bone structure to move so that I was able to get a good look at them.

“I know,” said Lewis, all humour leaving his voice as it became filled with understanding and comfort.

“This is going to be hard, you know that right?”

“I know,” he whispered as his grip around my waist tightened. He lifted his second hand to my neck before he gently lifted my chin and brushed my cheek. I felt the warmth of his breath touch my lips as I stared into his eyes, becoming completely engulfed in the pale blue. My heart raced in my chest until I could hear every beat pound against my ear.

With every breath I took, I seemed to lose more air as my breathing became unsteady. I held him closer to me; feeling his powerful heart beat against my body until I felt as though I had become completely engulfed in him. The world around me seemed to vanish as all that I was aware of was him. I kept trying to pull him closer to me, wanting to feel move of him as his lips grew closer to mine.

A sudden noise caught my attention, causing me to jump out of his arms and fall onto the bed. An agonising sharp pain rushed through my shoulders causing me to wince. Finally, my mind registered that it was the sound of a car horn being pressed repeatedly.

Swiftly, I moved as I leapt of the bed and to my feet, preparing myself for numerous possibilities. Cautiously, Lewis approached the bedroom window,

“Stop! You don’t know what the hell is going on!” I blurted but he ignored my protests as he opened the curtain and glanced outside as the sun set and chuckled. “What? What is it?”
