Seung huffed while holding the edge of a tiled wall, connected to the right gate of Hwa Young Highschool, for support as white smoke came from her mouth.

She felt relief when she saw quite a lot of students were still outside either entering the school building or stopping to have a chat together. She was not late.

On her way to school, Seung saw an old lady who was struggling with heavy groceries while trying to cross the busy road, looking helpless. She decided to offer a hand and help the old lady.

"It's okay dear you don't have to, the road will clear very soon. You should go now or you will be late for school!" The lady said while looking at her school uniform.

"No Halmoni (Grandma), it's fine I have plenty of time left. Please let me help?" Maybe she didn't have that much time, but a little time out of her journey wouldn't hurt. She would surely be in a rush after that, but she didn't mind as long as she could be of help.

"But Dear"

"Halmoni, I will be fine. The road is pretty busy today so it won't be easy to cross the road. The bags look really heavy. Please let me help! Halmoni please?" Seung looked at the lady with her pleading doe eyes.

The lady let out a small laugh while patting Seung's head.

"Aigoo... Kids these days. I can't say no to those eyes, can I?"

Seung's lips formed a wide grin, as she took the two bags from the lady's hand.

Ow! It's really heavy!

"Are you okay dear?"
"Hm hm it's no biggie"

Holding the two heavy bags, Seung waited with the old lady for the road to clear a bit for ten minutes.

"Halmoni hold my hand tightly okay? We will now cross the road"

Thirty seconds felt like thirty minutes to cross the busy road.

"Place it at the table and wait for a bit"

Now at the lady's living room, Seung let out a breath and finally her hands were freed, which were already shaking due to carrying the weight the heavy bags for a long time.

One minute later the lady came back.

"Your hands are hurting a lot right?" The lady pointed at the hand with a look of guilt.

"No no I am fine! You don't have to worry" Seung smiled in reassurance, and the lady nodded, not really convinced.

"Thank You Dear for helping me."

"It's okay Halmoni. You don't need to thank me-"

The lady took Seung's hands on her own and placed a chocolate bar.

"Sorry dear that's all I can do now to thank you"

"Halmoniiii" Seung whined while pouting "You don't have to do all this, you don't have to thank me, I am able to be of your help that's enough for me"
