[Unfinished draft]

Day eleventh of her two weeks rest.

Seung closed the baby blue book and put it beside her. Yes for the seventh time now, alongside with some other books too.

She heaved a sigh as she leaned on the headboard and stared at the ceiling, mind empty of thoughts of what to do next.

Ding!

Seung grabbed the brand new phone that laid on the bedside table.

She slided her fingers on the smooth screen to unlock the phone. That feeling is satisfying when you get a new phone.

Yes, a new phone.

It was on the second day where a gift wrapped box was placed on her hands as she stared at the raven haired in confusion while the other just looked somewhere else to avoid her gaze, again.

Apparently, Beomgyu found out about her previously broken phone that was laying on the ground, in a corner of the room as he was cleaning up the room.

That made him order a new phone as he knew his sister needed a new one as soon as possible. Everything is now digital anyways. That doorbell ring was an alert that the item was delivered.

Seung's mouth parted as bit as she took out the shiny brand new phone out of the box which looked expensive. She tilted her head and goggled at the raven haired in disbelief, waiting for an explanation.

"Your phone...was broken...You needed a new one so...yeah"

Well no shit.

Seung nodded in response.

"But you don't have to..."

That was nice of him to get her out of the potential distress, but she felt guilty and kind of pitiful that her problems being handled by someone else to this extent, and that by a complete stranger.

"Don't be bothered, I decided this" Beomgyu shot a soft smile, which made her melt again.

Seung couldn't just reject it as she really didn't want to dishearten the smiling boy in front of her, possibly annoying or offending him.

He didn't look like a person who would easily back down.

But she couldn't shake the guilt in her heart either.

"Thanks..." Seung muttered while looking down, avoiding his gaze this time.

"You are welcome"

Guess she just have to not say anything and accept this.

One day she will repay him.

Now another question.

"Why...wrapping it like a gift though..."

Beomgyu just shrugged.

"I thought that it would look pretty and more presentable"

Seung looked at him with a done face.

Seung was stupid. But not that stupid enough to not being able to connect the dots of these sudden birthday like surprises.

These were indeed all for her birthday, now two days past.

He was either being sarcastic, or was really good with coming up with dumb lies and hoping she would believe them.

And he tensed up whenever she asked questions so she decided not to pry in further.

She knew the answer to this question already.

She needed answers to far more important questions.

And she was at nowhere in her search.

Okay back to the present.

A short message displayed on her screen, which she read with an endearing smile on her face.

Today's weather is pleasant don't you think? Haha I am sitting here by the window enjoying the scenery ☃️

How are you feeling now? Recover fast Seung-ah! We want our adorable charmer in shape, back in this cafe! That rhymedㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Oh, once you get here, you will get to taste  the new special edition of latte! It's on the house~

It was her boss.

Her boss called her on her second day of her rest fortnight, to ask the reason of her disappearance for two days and fretted on how she was so worried was for her.

She felt guilty of making her boss stay in dark about her situation and also not being able to come help in the new year special event that would last a week.

Being now enlightened about her status right then, her boss panicked and kept asking her a lot of questions. Seung assured her that she was okay and she would be fit as new by the end of fortnight.

Obviously she couldn't include the bizzare incidents that happened, including the people responsible for them.

So she lied about slipping and falling down the stairs which injured her right limbs.

Her boss being the kind and caring soul, understood and lightly scolded her for her clumsiness and sent warm wishes to her for her warm recovery.

She checked on her very often, asking about updates about her condition and sent some nice messages everyday like these.

Sweet bosses are rare and she felt really lucky to have one.

Boss! I am feeling a little more better than yesterday ^ ^

And I am jealous~

Ahh I am so excited ≥∇≤
Thank You!

Seung shut her phone off and put it back at the bedside table.
She pondered on what do next as she looked up and stared at ceiling again.

She just finished a book and was no more in a mood of reading.

She had explored her new phone for million times these past days and had nothing missed out.

She wasn't in a mood for Toonweb either.

Study? Nahhh. Who's that?

And that's all she could do these days, cramped up in her room. She could move her right arm now with a little bit of pain which she could ignore.
Her right leg recovered a lot as well as she could do the little walks to her bookshelf and back to her bed without her crutches, but she still limped and held onto the edge of the bookshelf for support, as she searched for a book to entertain her. She didn't like to depend on crutches at all so she started avoiding it as soon as she was able to walk with little difficulty.

But she couldn't possibly go out of the house in this condition to have walk, as she hadn't fully recovered yet.

Her heart ached to go outside, saunter around her neighbourhood and get a breath of fresh air.

Things when you suddenly start to appreciate, after spending time in your room so much, being immobile as the cherry on top.

Since she was able to manage to walk decently, she could just go out of her room, and walk around her house a bit before settling down on the couch.

She trudged down the stairs, her grip firm on the metal so she doesn't fall.
