Charlie and I were getting ready for the North Stars game. We were beyond excited. And lucky for me we hadn't had practice since I kissed Adam, so I haven't had to face him. But tonight, I will have no choice.

Finally, we arrived at the game.

"Boy, this is great." Charlie said looking around.

"Yeah." I agreed. Thankfully I haven't been near Adam yet and we haven't had a chance to talk.

Everyone us around us was talking about how cool this was and how they couldn't believe it.

"What are we doing here?" I heard Adam ask Coach.

So, I guess he didn't tell the others.

"It's a little play-offs present." Coach told him.

We watched as the North Stars all started to leave the rink and they all went right by us. Two of the players stopped in front of us.

"Hey, Gordon Bombay!" One of them said.

"You remember me?" Coach asked a little confused.

"Sure, from Pee Wees." He said before turning to the other player next to him. "This guy used to rule in Pee Wees."

The friend spoke up. "I heard you were a farmer."

"Actually, I became a lawyer. But now I'm coaching Pee Wee now and this is my team, the Ducks. And my daughter Y/n. Ducks, this is Basil McRae and Mike Modano."

"We can see." We all said.

"Hey guys. Listen to this guy. He knows what he's talking about. If you ever want a shot, I'll get you a tryout in the minor-league clubs." Basil McRae told him.

"Thanks." Bombay said shaking his hand.

Basil McRae and Mike Modano left.

Coach turned towards us, "Alright, let's have some fun!"

We skated around for a bit and had a blast. I made sure to keep away from Adam since I still wasn't sure how to talk about the kiss.

"He keeps looking over at you." Charlie told me after about twenty minutes of fooling around.

I was tempted to look behind me at where Charlie was looking at Adam. I just barely resisted the urge to.

"He is not." I say tell him.

"Yes, he is I'm looking at him, looking at you." Charlie told me.

"Well, he can look all he wants." I mutter.

"You need to talk to him." Charlie says.

"I know. I just can't bring it up. What if he never wants to talk to me again? Or he decides to quit hockey because of it?" I try to think of more scenarios.

"Well, we aren't leaving here today until you talk to him." Charlie says sternly.

"Okay dad." I mockingly say and roll my eyes.

With that Charlie shoved me and skated away.

Eventually we got off the ice and got ready to watch the North Stars game.

We were all getting seated when I realized Charlie had me sit on his left with one open seat next to me. And that seat went to Adam. I looked over at Charlie and elbowed him. He looked at me then looked away smirking. He planned it.

"I hate you." I whisper to him.

"I know." He said smugly.

I sit and watch the game trying not to think about Adam sitting next to me. Every few minutes Fulton would lean down from the aisle above and talk to Adam about something that was happening on the ice.
