After the ink blot portal had closed Dream and Nightmare watched the new skeletons cautiously. Ink laughed at the terrifying face you had made at his raspberry, knowing he'd probably regret it later or not remember it. Blue started getting onto him for such rude behavior even towards the enemy like that. Although one thing stuck in Nightmares mind while Dream watched the other two curiously, still reeling over the fact you were still alive.

He said y/n. . . before y/n came after them. . . But. . but y/n is gone at least that's what the monster from before said. . . What the hell is going on???

Nightmare clears his throat catching everyone's attention making him shift uncomfortably at all the eye sockets watching him. He lets out a shaky and unsteady breath before he starts speaking, looking at the Ink skeleton.

"You had said y/n before right? What has happened to them?? Are they really- . . ."

He couldn't find the words to finish that sentence choking up, as his brother Dream looked as if he'd start sobbing again at the mention of you and your apparent demise. Nightmare took his hand to offer some sort of comfort while the colorful and blue skeletons look at the twins confused.

"What? But you were just with them before we swooped in and saved you both?"

Ink's eyes show his confusion with his eye lights changing into two flipped red and orange question marks as he puts his hands on his hips. Nightmare and Dream look at the colorful skeleton shocked, that monster was (y/n)? The apple didn't kill you? You were still alive!

Dream gasps and takes Ink's hands into his own begging, shaking even as his legs give out and Nightmare puts his hand on Dream's shoulder. Dream just looks up at Ink with pleading eye lights.

"Please take us back! W-we- y/n they're alive we need to go back we must, right now!"

Ink jumps at the once sobbing and pitiful looking skeleton now holding a bit of determination in his eye lights, even if he's kneeling on the floor and shaking. Nightmare nodded quickly and rubbed his brothers shoulder in support facing Ink with a stern look. Ink sighs softly looking at them and shakes his head, taking back his hands and crossing his arms in refusal.

"We can't it's too dangerous for you both. The y/n you once knew is long gone. Now they spread negativity and chaos across the multiverse since you both were turned to stone and after savaging the town."

Nightmare and Dream looking shocked and slightly horrified at one another, now remembering the moments before they were turned to stone.

"Th-the town? Y/n did that? . . . Is there anyone left alive???"

Dream spoke softly, near to tears again as Nightmare held his hand and helped him up. Ink looks at them with sympathy and with Blue's help leads them to what looked like a house in the distance of an other wise empty realm with the sky filled with sheets of papers hanging down from. . . Something?
