the lie

the cars driving past seemingly leap through the windows leaving shadows of them on the wall until they disappear completely.

"its getting late," i whisper quietly and nudge her off of my chest, she groans in protest. I get up and scramble to find my clothes scattered onto the oatmeal-colored carpet.

"Come back to bed will you?" Her eyes are barely open and her hair is a tangled mess. its only when she yawns, extending her arms until shes barely touching the headboard, that i see her in all of her natural glory. All of her curves and dips, that I not so long ago teased to her unrest, becon me back to her warmth. I could feel my body react. I smile.

"sorry babe, you know how it is." undeniable ignoring the call which aches my lower half.

She sighs at my statement and gives a groany "yeah" Immediately after. To which i respond: "you know i cant stay."

"I know." she says more awake this time. quietly, she gets up and heads to the bathroom. I follow her, wrapping my hands around her waist and placing a gentle kiss on her neck.

"Do you love me?" She says. I hesitate to awnsering.

Pushing my hands from her waist she turns around and repeats herself.

"Do you love me." more demanding than before. This time, with no hesitation, I respond.

"I do," and kiss her lightly on the lips.

That was my first lie.
