chapter 8 (폴라로이드-러브)

ni-ki was in a dilemma.

did he really fall for sunoo? why was that boy so different? why did ni-ki always feel like staring at his sun-like face and tell him how beautiful he was.
but.... he just met him a few days ago, how can that be factually possible ...

even if he told sunoo, he wasn't sure if sunoo felt the same way.

then something hit him. its best if sunoo didn't feel the same way- because either ways he wouldn't want the older hurt... after leaves. he contemplated if he would tell it to him or not.

"what should i wear for tomorrow, yeonjun hyung??" sunoo beamed on video call.

"slowly slowly my child- you're really excited, aren't you?" yeonjun chuckled through the call.

"i am!! its my first time going to a school trip in my new school... our old school didn't have it" he sulked a little when he said the last line.

"cute" yeonjun smiled when he saw the little boy smile so brightly. soobin appeared behind yeonjun, back-hugging the older on call.

"sunoo-yah, that white shirt looks so good on you, woah" soobin gasped.

"i told him the same thing woah" there yeonjun turned back and gave the younger a high five with a smile drawing on his face.

"i'm going to surprise ni-ki with my pink hair" sunoo said, wiggling his eyebrows "i bet he won't recognise me haha"

"right, that day ni-ki took your contact from me...i forgot to check up on you.. did something happen?"

"ahh nothing much hyung, you know i'm sensitive to cold weather- i just got sick" sunoo said "ni-ki visited me that day"

"good to hear. sunoo-ya whenever you catch cold take the medicines i prescribed to you, okay?" soobin said

"yes hyung"

"oh and .. hyung?" soobin was about to leave when sunoo called out again "how do you know ni-ki?"

"i'm friends with jaeyun besides he visits dad for checkup often" soobin said "but why did you ask?"

"nothing. hyung, that means you know ni-ki for sometime now?"

"yes, i know" soobin said "but he doesn't have a pleasant behaviour, i'm afraid he doesn't have many people who like him a lot"

sunoo understood why he said that.

"yeah i met him once too... he doesn't smile at all like yeah" yeonjun added to soobin's sentence.

"yeonjun hyung but thats not true... he smiles, infact, he has a very pretty smile. he's like a baby. yes, he behaved rudely with me once but after that he has been nothing but a smiley baby towards me" sunoo chuckled so hard that his eye smile was extremely prominent.

"sunoo are you perhaps... blushing?" yeonjun asked on call "uhhhhmmmmm hmmmmmm?"

sunoo quickly covered his cheeks to check if they were warm... It felt weird because he never spoke so highly of someone in such an excited tone before.

"jjunie this was you before when we started dating" soobin hit yeonjun on his upper arm as they giggled at sunoo.

"no but he came to see me, made veggie soup because i was sick" sunoo said smiling "he's cute. we're friends now... he has a very beautiful smile. he even said that i am the most beautiful person he ever met"

"friends man. they are friends" yeonjun mumbled to soobin

"yes,very friendly.. what would you do if i stared into beomgyu's eyes for minutes and smiled and said the same"

"i would kick your ass"

"yes, sunoo does those with ni-ki" soobin said

"hyung you can compliment your friend, y'all getting too comfortable after dating-huh?" he laughed "there's nothing like that"

"we'll see" yeonjun and soobin said in unison "but sunoo ... don't get too close to get hurt in the end"

yeonjun and sunoo looked at soobin in a confused manner, perhaps he was just giving a warning like everyone does when the guy is a player or something...

but here, its not like that though.
