Dylan Remus Potter didn't buy it for a second. The story Hagrid told about his mother being a muggle-born, was utterly preposterous. On many occasions- however accidental it may have been- he had seen his aunt perform magic - excluding the fact that it was always in the absence of the Potter twins. The additional information about his elder cousin currently, twenty years, disappearing every school year from the age of ten until she turned eighteen, just add to his fire of suspicion. However, this added to the many advantages, he had over his brother.
When he was six, he had accidentally walked in on Rose Dursley teaching his younger cousin, Dudley magic. Noting her mistake, she told a few mere things about magic. As he grew, his knowledge about the Wizarding world increased. Right before Hogwarts, Petunia and Rose taught him about, the families, and customs and even hinted that 'appearances can be deceiving.
He had, by far, learnt ten languages (Spanish, Italian, Latin, Bulgarian, Russian, French, Greek, Mandarin, Hindi and Chinese). The two female Dursleys had taken it upon themselves, to teach him various spells and train him in martial arts. They often answered his questions, while telling him to guard his mind. Every bit and piece of information, gossip and rumours in his world? he knew them.
