Finding You Again [Itachi X Female Y/n]

(Y/n's POV, Time skip A year and a half)

It's been a year now. I decided a month after I got here to write Itachi a letter each month. Of course, I never sent them to him but.....I'd at least like to give all of them to him when I get home so that he knows that I never forgot about him. Izumi left as she was assigned a mission with Shiha's team. I've improved my skills using my visual-prowess along with my Taijutsu. I've become quite close with Gaara and Shigeru.

I walk out to the dining hall for breakfast and run into Gaara. "Hey Gaar's! What are you doing here this early? Are you training with me again?" I question, Looking at him in confusion. "Y-yeah, I am Y/n...Why do you ask..?" He responds. I just shrug my shoulders.

Gaara's been acting differently from when I had first met him. It's a little strange and...I'm not sure if maybe I should be worried or what but.....

I sit down at the dining table as Gaara sits two seats away from me. Uncle Hiashi and Kaito then sit in their designated seats as we wait for sir Rasa. He comes down and instantly as he enters the room...Gaara's aura and chakra change...His chakra becomes dark....Not like a frightening kind of dark rather....More like a frightened kind of dark..

What the hell is going on here? Why is Gaara so afraid of his father...? What happened....

"Alright, Everyone eat up! Your going on your first mission out of the village! There has bee some grave robberies and we need your teams help. You guys are going to have Gaara tagging along as The elders and I are talking about adding him to your team in place of Izumi Uchiha." Sir Rasa states. Kaito gets really excited as I just sit there and smile towards Gaara. His chakra doesn't change much but...It gets just the slightest bit warmer when I smile at him. As if he's comforted by me.

"We will be thrilled to have you on our team Gaara" Uncle Hiashi states. I nod my head in agreement as I smile at Gaara once again. He slightly smiles back at me before looking at the empty spot in-front of him.

Shigeru brings out a couple plates of food and places them in-front of the each of us. We all eat and get ready grabbing our ninja pouches which each have they're own little box so that they can not get lost when not in use.

"Alright, Let's head out!" I exclaim.

(Time Skip/ Land Of Fire)

As we arrive..I see....Oh my god..

"SASUKE-SAN!! I MISSED YOU!" I yell, Running and hugging Sasuke. He pushes me off of him as he looks at me with a confused look.

"W-what is it...?" I ask. I then look to his side.

"H-HATAKA!? NARU!? SAKURA-CHAN!?" I exclaim. Still worried about Sasuke. Still....I didn't know that Hataka was a sensei already...

"Hataka....What happened to Sasuke?.."I ask. He looks down and sighs. "Naruto used a forbidden jutsu on him and he fell causing him to hit his head and lose some of his memory. He'll be better soon but they don't know how much of his memory he'll have back.." Hataka responds. I slightly glare at Naru as I walk towards Sasuke.

"Hey, I'm sorry that happened to you. Here i'll do my best to help you....Place your head in my hands and i'll try to heal you..." I say, He looks at me in disagreement but complies none-the-less.

I finish and Sasuke raises his head with his eyes closed placing his right hand onto his forehead. "Are you feeling better now Sassy?" I ask. His eyes widen as he looks up at me. "Y-y/n!?" Sasuke exclaims. I basically jump on him giving him a big hug. "I missed you Sassy-buns!" I say, Still holding onto him.

"BWAHAHAHA YOUR FACE IS SOOOOO RED SASUKE!" Naruto yells. This causes Sasuke to bury his head into my neck. He's gotten so much taller in just a year...

"Come on you three, Give your Y/n-chan a hug~" I say, teasing the others. All three of them slightly blush causing me to giggle just a bit. They all come in for a group hug as I smile having not seen them in a long time.

"Oh! Sasuke, How's Itachi been doing?" I ask, His chakra goes slightly colder than usual, Not changing as much as Gaara's had. "He's....Fine....Just training as always.." He replies. I frown, What happened? They were so close before, How come Sasukes chakra makes it seem like they aren't close as they use to be...It's quite..Worrying..

"Anyways, Let's get this over with. I'd like to get back and train a bit with Gaar's!" As I say this, Naruto frowns so I know somethings up with these guys...

"You two need to stop frowning! And don't you dare think that I can't see your frown under your damn mask Hataka! Cheer up you guys! I though you'd be happy to see me..." I say, Faking a bt of sadness in my tone of voice.

Naru and Sassy walk up to me again. "W-we did miss you Y/n-chan! Like a lot!" They shout in unison. I giggle, Tapping them both on the forehead. They blush again. They're so cuteeeeee!

"Alright, Team 7 you guys take the lead. Our captain will follow while instructing our team." Uncle Hiashi states. Hataka just smiles with a slight nod.

The mission was easy, We found the ninja who had been stealing the previous Kage's graves. Hataka, Sasuke, Gaara, And I took care of them while the others put the coffins back into their respected places.

"Thank you for working with us." Uncle Hiashi says. Gaara, Kaito, And I bow. Sasuke and Naruto then run towards me. 

"Come back with us!" They cry. I smile with tears dwelling up in my eyes. I look at them not wanting to leave them though...Sadly I have to.

"If I am dismissed, I'll come back a year early okay? So count the days. 365 days from now, Give me three extra if I do not make it home by then okay?" I compromise. The two little rascals frown but seem a bit more excited at the same time.

"Okay Y/n-chan.....Next year..." Sasuke says.
