The next day I'm getting ready to go to lunch with Lizzie when I get a text from Eric. It's weird since it's been a month since our divorce. I look down at my Apple Watch and the text says he forgot something in my house and was wondering if he could get it since I'm not in LA. Of course I said yes since I don't want to hold any of his stuff hostage. I go downstairs and see Scarlett and Colin talking while Cosmo sleeps on the couch with pillows surrounding him.

Me: Where's Rose?

Scarlett: She's with Hunter.

Me: Oh... Have you heard from dad?

Scarlett: No and I would love to not hear from him. You?

Me: Y-yeah... He's out of Jail Scar... He doesn't know about the kids yet which is great but he knows how to find me if I stay in New York after Christmas. I can't have Nova follow me around if he's here which means she'll have to stay with Che for a while.

Scarlett: Why can't she be with you?

Shit she's mad...

Me: Because he hates me more than he hates all his kids together.

Scarlett: If you flee New York then you'll be safe.

Me: Not really considering he will follow me unless I go back to Russia.

Scarlett: You wouldn't...

Me: I would. I'm friends with a lot of people there. You know this too since you met of few of them. Scar-

Scarlett: That's not up for discussion.

Me: Scarlett he will kill me and Nova if he found out Nova even existed.

Scarlett: Leave it be Y/n. He doesn't know where I live considering I move out every time I give my address.

Me: which is every other year.

Scarlett: It's fine Y/n... You're safe here. I won't let anything happen to you I promise.

Scarlett hugs me and I hug her back tight. We may be bitches to each other but when it comes to our safety I will always put the people I care about first. The scariest thing is losing someone I love. Especially Scarlett, if I lose Scarlett I loose a the other half of me. Scarlett has always been there for me. Not hunter, not Adrian, not Vanessa, Not Christian, it's always been Scarlett to cater to my needs and I cater to hers. Everyone know that. Even Colin, Colin knows Scarlett will always choose my side no matter what so if me and Colin ever fight he knows I will win because he will end up at his parents' house or Che's house.

Me: I should probably get ready since I have lunch with Lizzie and she's going to be here in an hour.

Scarlett: Have fun on your date.

Me: it's not a date bitch it's just lunch with a new friend that is the sister of 2 old friends.

Scarlett: Whatever helps you at night sis.

Me: shut up Ingrid.

I go upstairs and see Nova still sleeping. Damn this kid can sleep all day if she wanted too. I look at the time and see it's 11:00 pm. Lizzie is going to be here at 12 and Che wants a father daughter day with Nova at 11:30. I wake Nova up and get ready for our day today. Rose walks in and sit on my bed.

Me: What up cupcake?

Rose: My dad is here to take me with him but I don't wanna go so I said I was going to say bye to you and Nova before I leave.

Me: Why don't you wanna go!

Rose: He hits me when I don't listen. He said if I tell anyone he'll hurt me more...

I stop what I'm doing and look at her. She knows if he finds out she told me she'll get hurt more... She's going through what I was scared of happening and it's happen to a fuckin 7 year old you have got to be fucking kidding me.

Y/n: Let me see your bruises.

I get out my phone and take pictures of the bruises and her stomach. By the time I'm done examining her she's crying. I pull her into me and she cries into my shoulder... I start crying too since it happened to me and now it's happening to my only niece.

Me: it's okay cupcake... he won't hurt you anymore... I'll make sure of it.

I look at the time and see it's 12:00 so Lizzie and Che should be here...

Y/n: Okay Rose I need you to stay here okay? Watch Nova. I'm going downstairs to make sure your dad isn't here. If you want you can cuddle with Nova today and I'll tell Micheal he can have her on Christmas Eve, okay?

She nods and I stand up angrily.  I go out my room locking the door then I run downstairs. I see Romain and Scarlett talking civilly then out of no where I punch his face in front of Lizzie and Scarlett.

Romain: What was that for!?

I look at him and fly kick his face and that's when I speak up.

Me: SO YOU THINK YOU CAN HIT MY NIECE AND NOT SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES!? I THINK THE FUCK NOT!

I straddle his hips and start punching him repeatedly until Colin and Che pull me off of him. Scarlett looks starstruck and terrified, Colin looks pissed, Lizzie looks like Wanda in wandavision when she was fighting Agatha, and Che looks like he's about to whoop some French ass but I beat him too it. Romain finally stands up and says...

Romain: You have no proof I did that to my kid! You think I would hurt my daughter!?

Y/n: The crying child in my room says otherwise and so do these pictures.

Romain looks at me shocked and goes to say something but doesn't.

Y/n: Is there a reason you're hitting my niece because if not then I'll let Che beat you senseless then you go to jail and Che won't get charged considering Scarlett can say you trespassed.

Lizzie discreetly leaves the room and calls the police while Colin hold Romain down. Scarlett falls to her knees and starts crying, I run up to her and hug her. The police arrive and arrest Romain while they question me.

Officer: Do you know why he started hitting your niece?

Y/n: No. when I asked he didn't answer.

Officer: was there a reason your niece didn't tell anyone when it first happened?

Y/n: Because he'll hurt her more.

Officer: Do you believe her?

Y/n: Of course I do. A seven year old shouldn't be going through that.

Officer: Why do you believe her?

Y/n: Because it happened to me but worse. So you either get out of my face or I'll have your partner who is also my cousin drag you away from me.

Officer: Have a good day Ms.Johansson.

Y/n: Likewise.

Once the officers leave Lizzie hugs me then we go back inside as we reschedule our plans for tomorrow.
