A Summer in Paradise~a CubeSMP Fanfic~

4th of July ~Part 2~

~Belle POV~

After we threw the football for a while we got it and went to sit in our chairs with everyone else. They had the bean bag toss set up and horse shoes right next to it.

Straub and Bee were playing against Mitch and Grape at the bean bag toss. "Yes I got it in!" Bee cheers high fiving Straub. I sit down in my chair and pour a beer in my cup and just sip on it watching them play the game. Bee and Straub lost to Mitch and Grape by 3 points. After they were done I pulled my book out of my bag and laid out on the big blanket to read my book. As I was reading I must've fell asleep because I didn't realize I fell asleep until I heard someone giggling and their phone making the noise of them taking a picture. Of course it was Will. I was only asleep for about 40 minutes.

"Come play horseshoes with me. No one wanted to play with me." Will says pouting. "Fine." I grown getting up from the blanket, and putting my book away. "So what's the entire game plan for tonight?" I ask everyone as I throw the horseshoe completely missing the stake I was supposed to hit. "Well we are barbecuing and then going to the boardwalk to see fireworks." Graser says. "Yeah but I thought Ryan bought fireworks?" Will questions. Most of us look at each other confused because no one knew that. "Well thanks for ruining the surprise Will." Dolphin says chuckling. "What that was a surprise?! How was I supposed to know?!" Will questions confusedly. I just laugh at how innocent Will sounded.

"Well since everyone knows now, I bought fireworks. I was going to bring them out when we got home, hoping we could have a bonfire on the beach or something." Ryan explained. "That's a great idea!! We should do that." Grape says. "Yeah sounds like a good time." Brayden agrees. "Well cool, it's settled bonfire after fireworks on the boardwalk!" Devon yells excitedly. "Belle look out!" Will yells. Without hesitation I jump to the side covering my head. A horseshoe flys past my head landing in the sand behind me. I just look up like I saw a ghost a Will looks super guilty. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" Will yells. "That's why no one wanted to play with you Will." Jordan says chuckling from his chair.

I just go lay down on the blanket again not wanting to play horseshoes anymore. "Bell please keep playing with me I'm sorry I didn't mean to!" Will says laying on top of me. "How about we play scrabble instead? Because I don't want to lose my head." I say. "Okay fine." Will says rolling off of me and grabbing the travel set of scrabble from the huge beach bag. I grab another beer and play scrabble with Will. I lost really bad to Will, in my defense I had some shit letters. It's about 4:45 and we all decide to pack up and head back to the house.

We all get to the house and shower and start to cook for the barbecue. I take only 10 minutes only washing my body. I didn't want to wash my hair because it looked nice and wavy from the salt water and sand. I go upstairs and trey to assist Straub and Dfield as much as possible. They had it mostly under control only having me get them cheese for the cheeseburgers and a plate to put all of the stuff on it. I set table cloths and plates up out of the table on the top deck outside. It was such a nice night that I decided we should all eat outside and enjoy the view. After about an hour or two we were all sitting down and eating the amazing food that the guys prepared for us. We ate talking and listening to the music from the stereo. Of course it was playing Modsun because Ryan and Jordan played their playlist. But we've all come to know and love Modsun's music so we don't mind. Once everyone was done eating Dul, Bee, and I started to clean up after the boys.

"They're such pigs sometimes." I say shaking my head. "Yeah I know like who drops a whole hotdog on the floor and doesn't pick it up?!" Dul says picking up the hotdog off the deck. We all laugh and Bee says "It was probably Graser." "Yeah it would make sense." I say. "So Dul have you decided when you are going to tell Rusher?" I say quietly to Dul. "Bee knows." she says. "Okay good, I wasn't sure and I didn't want to be the reason she found out." I say. "Yeah she told me before when you were in the shower." Bee explains. "But yeah I think I'm going to tell him when we're at the bonfire. The mood seems right." Dul says looking down blushing. "Awe that's cute. It does seem like the perfect time though." I say being supportive. "Yeah sit by him the whole time too, make small talk first." Bee says. "Yeah I think I will." Dul smiles.

When we were all done cleaning we started to climb in the cars to go to the boardwalk. Bee, Devon, Graser, Grape, Julio, and Mitch were all in my car while the rest were in the other car. We jam out to some music until we get there. The fireworks start after the sunset which is usually around 8ish. We get to the board walk at 7:30 so wee decide to get some frozen yogurt until the fireworks start. When we all get our yogurt we bring it out to this huge section that's filled with benches and sit down and eat our frozen yogurt. Everyone has all devoured their frozen yogurt and I'm not even half way done with mine. I'm a slow eater I guess. All of a sudden a big boom goes off and I scream pretty loudly. "It was just a firework, calm down Belle." Straub says laughing. "Sorry, it caught me off guard." I say chuckling.

We all look up and watch the fireworks. They were beautiful, all different colors and shapes. It was amazing. After watching the fireworks for about 20 minutes they end and we all head home. When we get home we all quickly run inside and change since it's getting chilly outside. I grab a tie dye sweatshirt and put on my tie dye vans and go downstairs. We all wait until everyone comes down so we could head to the beach together. Ryan is the last one to come down and he's carrying a giant garbage bag full of fireworks. "Wow, this is gonna be fun." I say shocked at how big the bag was.

We all walk down to the beach and go to the spot where we can set up our bonfire. We all gather some wood and pile it together in a huge hole and start the fire. We all line our chairs and blankets around the circle and sit down making small talk. I look over and see Dul sitting next to Brayden on a blanket. She's snuggled up under Brayden's arm. It's the cutest thing ever. "Who's ready for some fireworks?!" Ryan yells. We all cheer and I stand up and run over to him "Let me shoot some off!" I cheer excitedly. "Okay but watch me do it first, the last thing we need is to drive you to the emergency room." Ryan says laughing.

Ryan, Grape, Will, Jordan and I are the ones who decide to shoot the fireworks. Ryan sticks a bunch in the sand and lights up 3 and runs away. They shot up in the sky and explode. They aren't anything compared to the ones we watched before but they were still cool. Jordan, Grape, and Will all shoot off some and I just watch. Then Ryan pulls this crazy huge one out of the bag. "LET ME LIGHT THAT ONE!!" I scream. "Okay okay, calm down." Ryan says laughing. He gets it all set up for me so all I have to do is light it. I go up to it and light it and forgot to run away. "BELLE RUN!" Everyone screams. "OH!" I yell running away laughing. "You're so stupid sometimes." Will says laughing at my stupidity. "I forgot." I say giggling. I look up and see the best firework we've set off yet. Everyone cheers and claps and I bow saying "You're welcome." "Hey, I bought them!" Ryan says slapping my arm. "Yeah well I made the magic happen." I say and we both laugh.

We set off all the fireworks and all that's left are sparklers. Me and Bee are the only ones who want to mess with the fireworks. Me and her are running around the beach like fools amazed by the little spark on a stick. "Hey let's try and take cool tumblr pictures!" I say. First we just take cute pictures of us holding them, then we tried writing words and drawing pictures which was a complete fail. When we were done we just walked back to our seats.

I sit on the other blanket by myself just watching the fire listening to everyone talk. I look up and watch Dul talking to Rusher and listen to them talk. "Brayden I have to tell you something," Dul says. "What is it Dul?" Brayden asks. "Well I've been thinking for a while now, and I think I like you more then a friend. I've felt this way since the beginning of summer and the other day when we were watching the movie I..." she was cut of by Brayden kissing her. I quickly grab my phone and take a picture because it was the cutest thing I've ever see. They pull away and Brayden says "I like you too Dul." I have my hand over my mouth to keep myself from awe'ing but I hear Grape and Mitch saying awe. "Wow guys way to ruin the moment." I say.

Everyone laughs and just goes about their conversations. Jordan comes over to me and sits with me on the blanket. "So I've been thinking, that we should go on a date. Ever since I heard you liked me I couldn't stop thinking about it. I think I like you too and I wanna give this a try and see where this takes us." Jordan says not breaking eye contact once. I look away and blush then look back at him and say "Yeah, I would like that." He smiles and says "Great, tomorrow night I'll take you out to dinner." Jordan says smiling. This night has been amazing.
