The weeks until Prince Sam was to turn 20 years of age flew by, which meant the date of his and the princess's wedding grew ever closer as well. Currently, Sam was sitting underneath the lemon tree that he and Ponk had planted years ago, gently playing with the aforementioned's hair. "Do you ever think, if we were to be together forever, that we would have kids? And, by that, I mean adopt kids?" Ponk asked softly, the curiosity in his voice obvious. Sam chuckled, leaning forward and placing a kiss on Ponk's forehead, "If we decided to, then yes. We would raise the best children, you would make a great parent, my love." Ponk giggled, smiling, "You would make a fabulous father, my dear. I can't wait to see what our future holds for us, whatever it may be." Sam sighed softly, enjoying the comfortable silence that swelled around them. Ponk nestled up to Sam more, now quietly humming a soft tune that reminded Sam of warm summer days and eating cherry popsicles on the lake shore. It was an odd and specific memory, but it was there to stay, filling the prince with great joy as he cuddled his lover. Ponk broke the silence by quietly asking, "What if we were to run away together? You wouldn't have to go through with the betrothal and we could be together..." Sam hummed, smiling, "Maybe, Ponkie... Maybe..." The two left it at that, just enjoying one another's company and affection.

Hours later, princely duties pulled Sam away from their time together, leaving Ponk alone to do what he did best, be alone. The platinum haired boy pulled his mask on and wandered away from the palace, sighing as he headed back to the old abandoned farm house he called home.

Once home, Ponk pet the stray cat he was caring for, since he had no home, just like him.  He then went over to the messy pile of hay he called a bed, gently grabbing a few items and then sitting down in the sturdy old rocker that had been left behind to rot. The young man furrowed his brows as he pulled his mask down, allowing him to see his project a bit better. Ponk was working on a small plushie, it looked reminiscent of Sam, sharing the dark green hair and stunning hazel eyes with the aforementioned prince. Ponk continued to carefully sew things together, occasionally grumbling to himself when he made a mistake or huffing when he was frustrated. The boy only stopped once he finished, setting the plushie beside the one that looked like himself, the same brownish gray eyes and platinum blonde hair. Ponk then smiled slightly, he had finally finished his gift for Sam, he was extremely excited, to say the least.
