Sight of Love (Again Series #1)

Prologue

"Ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon. Welcome on board DF2753. This is Captain Alvarez speaking and I have some information about our flight."

I tried not to stutter while saying this. This isn't the first time I've piloted a plane. However, this will be my first flight to New York after I became a pilot. I don't have plans in accepting this flight but I'm the only pilot who's available in flying Mexico to New York.

"Our flight time today will be around 4 hours and 40 minutes and our estimated time of arrival in New York is 8:40 PM. The weather in our route is good. The temperature at our destination is 8 Degree Celsius with a clear sky. We wish you a pleasant stay in New York and we hope to see you again very soon. On behalf of all our crew, thank you for choosing our company as your airline this holiday."

After so many years, I never imagined myself returning to this country, but here I am; the pilot of the plane I am on. It's never been easy for me to move on but I needed to. And I assumed that letting go of resentments would be helpful to me.

"Are you okay, Adi?" Si James.

Napaka kulit nga naman, I told him a lot of times not to include the personal problems in our work. How can I focus if he keeps on bugging me?? Simula kaninang malaman niyang tinanggap ko yung flight, hindi na siya tumigil ngumawa.

"It's Captain Alvarez, first officer Zamora." I warned him.

We are close to departure.

"Ladies and gentlemen, all cellular phones and other portable electronic devices, such as laptop computers must be turned off and stowed for departure. Thank You!" Chiara announced.

"All clear Captain." It's first officer Zamora.

I nodded and checked something to make sure that everything is settled.

"Cabin Crew, doors on automatic, cross-check and report. Thank You." I announced.

The plane is already departed from the gate, I'm sure our aspiring flight attendants were done performing the safety demonstration.

"Cabin crew, please take your seats for take-off." I said.

This is my favorite part of riding the plane, it tickles somewhere in my stomach.

"Gear up" I said.

"Selecting gear up." First officer Zamora.

"Gear is up.........Clean wing speed." It's still him.

"Clean the wing." It's me.

"Clean the Wing......Wing is clean" First Officer Zamora.

I turned the seat belt off. Later on, our food has been delivered. Natawa pa nga ako sa sinabi ni Zamora kay Kim.

"Oh, totoo ang Diyos, kanina pa ako gutom. Thank you, Miss beautiful." He even winked at the flight attendant and I glared at him.

He always does that, if I only didn't know him, I would think that he's flirting with everyone. Nasanay nalang ako.

"Eyes on the sky Captain Alvarez, baka may masagasaan kang ibon. Mamaya mo na titigan ang kagwapuhan ko, babe." He teased me.

Inirapan ko siya. "Don't start anything, you won't like the ending Zamora."

Mahilig siyang mang asar pero pikon siya.

"Here's the sandwich babe, do you want me to feed you?" The hell??

I smirked. A good idea comes on my mind. "Ganyan ka ba kay Erien?" It's her ex-girlfriend.

His eyes turned a shade darker when he heard the name, pissed and mad huh. I told him not to start anything.
