I actually started this story in January of 2022 but unpublished it due to lack of ideas.I randomly came back around October 20th of 2024 post ending of the canon story and decided to make it an alternate timeline type of thing where Izuku and Ochako are a lot closer, and here I am after finishing it in November of 2024. Anyways here we go.
September 17th.
Izuku walks into his room and collapses onto his bed. His breathing is inconsistent and he struggles to stay awake. Tears fill his eyes as his breaths get louder.
'Not again...' Izuku thinks to himself.
The panic attacks he once had have returned, Izuku is stressed out about the mission to save eri. His constant act of being the cheery hero like all might is taking a toll on his mental health.
Izuku holds a pillow over his mouth to stop the noise of his loud breathing. After a few minutes he calms down and stares at the ceiling.
He's been having these panic attacks since the day he found eri while patrolling with Mirio. He is used to hiding these from his middle and high school days but because of his friends it has gotten much harder.
Slowly Izuku drifts off to sleep, while that's happening at the other side of the dorms Ochako Uraraka is on her phone.
She is texting the class 1-A girls.
'Momo: has anyone else noticed a change in Midoriya-San lately? He seems to be much more reserved and not out training as much.' Momo texts the chat.
'Maybe he's stressed about Eri-Chan?' Ochako messages the chat.
'Sounds like something Midoriya would do seeing he is always going around saving people, I mean look what he did with Bakugo at Kimino.' Mina messages.
' With Bakugo-San it wasn't just Midoriya-San , Iida-San, Todoroki-San, Kirishima-San and I were also there with him.' Momo points out.
'I guess but still, was it his idea to fly out over all for one?' Mina asks.
'I mean yeah, but that was a mutual agreement.' Momo responds.
'Seems like something Deku-kun would do even if it was by himself, he's always a hero even if it's dangerous for him.' Ochako intervenes.
'I agree, hopefully he doesn't do anything too dangerous, we can't lose our cinnamon roll!' Mina says making Ochako picture Mina jumping up and down the room in an excited manner.
'We'd hate to lose him, right Ochako-Chan?' Tsu messages popping up in the chat.
Ochako blushes at the message.
'We can continue with this tomorrow, im gonna get some sleep, goodnight.' Ochako messages as she puts her phone on silent and puts it on her small table next to her bed.
She closes her eyes to sleep but can feel a blush creeping onto her face.
'Focus on being a hero, that's what matters.' She thinks to herself as she dozes off.
The next morning Izuku woke up late after he accidentally hit the off button on his alarm clock the night before. This was new to the green headed boy and sometimes new isn't good.
He quickly got dressed and sprinted to the main building of U.A and straight to his class.
He opened the door and all eyes in the room immediately turned to him.
"Midoriya, you're late." The teacher Shota Aizawa says as he gives Izuku a dirty look.
"I'm so sorry sensei it won't happen again!" Izuku says bowing down.
