~ Chapter 10 ~

Present Day
~The Amazon

For the rest of the night Druig and I just held onto to each other, talking about life, cuddling, and doing other things

It was nice to just take a break from everything and just talk to him and see what he's thinking. We've been so caught up with the civilization that we barely had to time just lay with each other and enjoy each other's presence.

It was now the next morning, and the people in the civilization were starting to fix what had been broken during the earthquake.

Thankfully the deviant was taken care of by Druig and I before anybody woke up. We didn't want to scare anybody else and risk another frenzy.

The whole morning it felt like I barely had time to breathe because everybody in the village was coming up to me asking if I was okay and what had happened.

I of course had to lie and come with something, not wanting to frighten anybody about a deviant hurting me.

Surprisingly, Druig made me go talk to Maeve to show her I was okay. Apparently when I was unconscious her and Druig kind of made a little bond together.

Walking back to Druig and I's room, I opened the door to see Druig gone—-probably getting something to eat.

Sitting down on the bed, I pulled out my sketchbook and started drawing.

Every page is filled with memories that Druig and I experienced together. As of right now I was sketching the both of us looking out to the sunset just seconds before the earthquake hit.

So caught up in drawing I barely heard the door open and close until I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist.

"What are you drawing this time?" I heard Druig whisper in my ear.

"Guess." I said, trying to hold back a smile.

"Hm, let's see..." He said, snatching the sketchbook out of my lap and pulling it away from arms reach.

"Druig!" I said, trying to grab the sketchbook back—-but couldn't help the laugh that came out.

He just laughed, holding it higher while glancing at it.

"I'm going to guess when it was yesterday afternoon and we were watching the sunset. You were wrapped in my arms, where you should always be—-the both of us just enjoying each other's presence." He said, hiding the book behind his back while gazing down at me.

"You are an amazing guesser Druig." I said, smirking.

"Another one of my many positive attributes." He said, shrugging while trying to suppress a smirk.

"Now that you've guessed it will you give me back my sketchbook? Or are you going to be an annoying Druig today?" I asked, while stepping closer to him.

"You know it's very tempting to be annoying some days. It's adorable when your face scrunches up when you're annoyed." He said, throwing the sketchbook on the bed and resting his hands on my waist.

"And it's adorable that you think I can never get you back when you annoy me." I said, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"If you're talking about last month please don't bring that up." He groaned, throwing his hand back.

I couldn't help the laugh that came out, "Please you have to admit that was funny!" I said.

"For you! I was still washing mud out of my hair for the next week!" He exclaimed but failing to hide his smile.

"Okay, okay. I will admit that I may have taken it a little too far but I mean you embarrassed me in front of the whole village!" I said, gazing up at him.

"Okay, fair enough! Let's just agree that we both got each other and that's the end of it." He said, raising an eyebrow.

"You know I can never give up on a prank. I think that's one of the best inventions humans have come with it." I said, making him laugh.

"You adore these humans don't you?" He asked, smirking.

"Of course I do! That's why I'm glad we were able to get away from everybody and just be able to relax here in peace." I said, running my fingers through the back of his hair.

"I think I have fallen in love with you even more my beautiful Freya." He whispered, his eyes filled with nothing but adoration and love.

"Can that even be possible?" I asked, my smile growing bigger and bigger.

"I don't think my love for you can ever stop Freya. If it was possible I wish there was button in the universe to replay the exact moment I fell for you——over and over again." He said, before pressing his lips to mine.

Pulling him closer, I immediately opened my mouth letting his tongue dive in. Letting out a moan, I let him guide us to the bed, leaning us both down.

Hovering over me, he pulled back just gazing down at me.

"You know that I would go above and beyond for you. You are absolutely mesmerizing my beautiful Freya. I hope you know that." He said, caressing my cheek before leaning down a pressing a kiss on my jaw.

Letting out a moan, he trailed kisses down my jaw and neck—-nipping at a spot below my ear making me sigh in bliss.

Running my fingers through his hair and pulling every moment he kissed a sensitive spot——he tighten his hold on my waist.

Closing my eyes and tilting my head back, he continued to kiss all of my jaw and neck before he abruptly pulled back.

His eyes flashing yellow before turning back to his blue.

"What is it Druig?" I asked, slightly out of breathe.

He gazed down at me with smirk, making me frown.

"Looks like our family has arrived."
