Infinity || Druig

~ Chapter 13 ~

Present Day
~The Amazon

( 3rd person pov)

Freya was running hand in hand with Druig after they heard the sounds of the people screaming and the roars from the deviants.

Her heart was beating rapidly and she could feel beads of sweat starting for fall down her forehead, but all she could think about was getting to the village.

The only thing she could focus on was what she was going to be met with. If this would be the last of the village—- if this is where everything Druig and her built came to an end.

Making it out of the clearing, Druig and Freya were met with the people screaming and frantically trying to find safety.

For a second all Druig and Freya could do was stare. It was like they were paralyzed, their feet stuck to the ground.

Finally Freya snapped out of it when she saw Sprite, Kingo, and Sersi fighting the deviant.

"Druig." Freya whispered, making Druig snap out of his trance.

He glanced at Freya, the words caught in his throat and his hand gripping hers so tight.

But one look at Freya he instantly saw her nod, knowing exactly what she wanted him to do.

"Are you sure?" He asked, wanting to be one hundred percent sure with what he was about to do.

"I trust you." Freya whispered, giving him a faint squeeze.

He gave her a quick kiss before she ran off and moved Sprite out of the way before a deviant could attack her.

Taking one last look at Druig she saw his eyes glow a bright yellow making her feel somewhat at peace. Knowing that at least their people will be safe.

Once she saw the people stop panicking and started to calmly go into the safety house, she turned around just in time to jump over a deviants tail that was about to hit her.

"How many are there?" Freya asked, continuously dodging the deviants blow.

"I don't know! After you went after Druig, Ikaris stormed out and Sersi followed him but not too shortly after that we heard what sounded like a building crash down and then a roar." King said, standing protectively in front of Sprite.

"Where are Ikaris and Sersi?" Freya asked, using her powers to wrap vines around the deviant to hold it back while Kingo blasted it making it fall limp.

"We don't know! Everyone just split up once we were attacked!" Sprite exclaimed, while Freya blew out a breath.

But that was short lived when another deviant suddenly showed up throwing Kingo, Sprite and Freya off guard. Its tail quickly knocked Kingo and Sprite into a building knocking it down before sprinting towards Freya.

She kept on using the vines to hold it back before she saw a pile of big rocks laying next to her. Making sure the deviant was held back Freya quickly brought the rocks over with her powers and made a makeshift staircase and starting running up one my one.

Quickly jumping over the deviant, Freya landing on its back while using a vine to bring a shotgun to her. Grabbing a hold of it, she shot the deviant in the head and then forcefully shoved the gun through the wound—-shooting it one more time to make sure it was dead.

Now Freya has never been a violent and gory person when it came to fighting the deviants. But as of right now, Freya was sick and tired of the deviants continuously coming and ruining peaceful moments and hurting the ones she loved.
