It was one of the hottest summer day's California had to offer. So when Ethan showed up at his best friends door, Mark claimed the boy to be fucking insane for wearing a god damn hoodie. When confronted about it, Ethan just shrugged.
"I'm always cold" was his only response. Mark opened his mouth to point out how flushed his face looked. But Ethan quickly walked past him before he could say anything. "Hi Chica!" He greeted the world's cutest dog in his usual cheerful voice. Well, almost usual. They're was a small hint of tiredness behind it. Then, as if to confirm it, Ethan let out a long yawn. And when he picked his head back up to look at Mark, dark circles were visible.
"Did you sleep okay?" Mark asked.
Ethan avoided his gaze and let out a small chuckle. It sounded forced. "Nah, I stayed up late gaming" he mumbled.
The taller man had a feeling his friend wasn't being honest. But decided to drop it, at least for now.
"What did you wanna do for today's video?" Ethan asked plopping himself down on the couch.
"Bows and arrows" The taller man said crossing his arms.
"Oh?" Ethan raised his eyebrows. "As in actual bows and arrows?"
"Yes, Ethan" Mark laughed while shaking his head. "I've got it all set up in the backyard already".
Ethan looked behind him and out the window. From where he was he could see a target, along with a whole row of items such as cans and apples.
"Oh boy" Ethan said nervously.
"It'll be fun!" Mark promised.
Just then their friend Amy came bouncing down the stairs holding the filming equipment. "You guys ready?" She asked with a smile as bright as the sunlight coming in through the window.
"I guess so" Ethan said with a shrug.

As soon as all the camera equipment had been set up, Mark was first to test out his skills.
"Promise you won't shoot me?" Ethan joked.
Mark grabbed his first arrow and lined it up on his bow. "Don't ask me to make promises I can't keep" he replied.
"Marrrrk" Ethan said in his high pitched voice. "I thought we were buddies" He placed a hand on Marks shoulder.
Without looking behind him Mark pulled his bow up and his arrow back. "Don't touch me" he said right before letting the arrow go. It missed the target completly. "Ah, see!" Mark then turned around and pointed at his friend. "You jynxed me by touching me you- you jynxer!".
Ethan laughed. "I think you're just not as good as you think you are, friendo".
"That is not true!" Mark said pointing at him again. "You just bring bad luck. And you got it all over me. You got your sick, sticky, unluckiness all over me you bad, bad, boy".
"Mark-" Ethan giggled uncontrollably.
"Just look at me! I'm practically bathing in it because of you! I'm sticky with unlucky...ness!"
"Oh really? I got it all over you?" Ethan stepped closer. "Why don't you cover me in something sticky in return then?"
This time Mark stepped closer until they were just an inch apart. He went to speak but couldn't hold back his laughter. "You- You want me to cover you in something sticky?"
Ethan broke out into a fit of giggles and now they were both laughing uncontrollably.
"Okay...your turn" Mark said in between laughs. He handed Ethan the bow and backed up until he was on the other side of the yard.
