littlest wolf
HOPE MIKAELSON DIDN'T EXPECT to wake up in an empty classroom, so when she did she was confused. She stood up, groaning lightly, and walked out of the room, following the voices she was hearing. One of them sounded like her dad's, but that couldn't be, right? When was he ever in a high school? Though, her werewolf senses said otherwise. Her dad was here. She was elated at first, but then remembered what she came here to do. She went to leave when she saw an exit, but stayed and turned her head in alarm when she heard her dad yell in pain.
She ran into the room she heard the sound coming from and saw a witch giving him an aneurysm. She acted quickly, not even thinking about the consequences that would come because of her actions.
"Motus!" she shouted, thrusting her hand out at the witch. She couldn't bring herself to see her dad in pain, not after she practically killed him. Her emotions were so out of place, that she didn't even realize that she was thinking about her dad so intensely that he was hit with flashes of memories of him and Hope, which also meant he knew about the future.
After the witch, who Hope found out was named Bonnie recovered from the spell, she tried to give the tribrid an aneurysm like she had done her father before, but Hope was too quick.
She lifted her hand up and whispered another spell.
"Ad Somnum," she casted, making the other witch go unconscious for a while. She didn't even acknowledge the unshed tears burning her eyes, and didn't turn around until she heard the one voice she had been longing to hear ever since he died.
"Hope?" she heard her dad breath out in a disbelieving but relieved tone. She turned around and smiled sadly at him.
"Hi dad," she gave him a watery smile, shocking everyone else in the room.
"Dad?" Both Hope and Klaus's heads snapped towards the person responsible for the incredulous tone when voicing what everyone else but the two were thinking, and Hope saw that the man was none other than Damon Salvatore. Thinking back to what her Uncle Elijah had written in his journals, she recalled a few things he wrote about Damon Salvatore helping with a plan to kill their family, and she got mad. She sent herself back to prevent herself from being born because she thought she killed her family, so why would she stand someone who actually attempted to kill her family more than once.
"You!" she exclaimed, looking at Damon, then turning her head to see Elena Gilbert, Matt Donovan, Stefan Salvatore, Caroline Forbes, Tyler Lockwood, Jeremy Gilbert, and her aunt, Rebekah Mikaelson.
"Ah Sha Lana," she muttered, which made Elena, Damon, and Bonnie, Matt, Jeremy, and Tyler cry out and hunch over in pain. They all had a part in either killing or leading one of her family members to their deaths, and now she was making them pay for it. She didn't harm Stefan or Caroline out of her respect for Lizzie and Josie, though she didn't see Alaric around yet. The spell she was using wasn't an aneurysm spell, just a pain spell that would last for a little bit, weakening the supernatural creatures, and hurting the human along with the soon-to-be-hunter.
"Hope, that's enough," her dad commanded her, and when she heard his voice she stopped. Sure she wanted to keep the spell going, but her dad said to stop and he was alive and somehow remembered her so she wasn't going to screw that up.
"How do you remember me?" she asked him, her voice cracking a bit towards the end. She elaborated when her dad looked at her with a confused expression.
"I sent myself back in time to prevent my birth because I killed you, mom, and Uncle Elijah," she admitted.
"You what?!" he roared, but composed himself when he saw Hope shed a few tears.
"Hope, sweetheart, come here," he opened his arms, softly bringing his daughter into a hug, ignoring everyone's disbelieving faces as they thought he wasn't capable of being so soft and nice towards someone, especially Rebekah.
"I'm sorry," she sniffled, and Klaus just rubbed her back, soothing her and used his vampire speed to quickly get them both out of the school and into the forest where he waited for Hope to calm down before talking with her.
"My littlest wolf, you know that our deaths weren't your fault, right?" Klaus questioned his daughter. He never wanted her to think about herself as someone who caused the death of their family when in reality she brought it together.
"But it was!" she cried. "I'm the one who killed mom, I'm the one who killed you, and I'm the one who killed Uncle Elijah! But you all weren't supposed to leave me," she said the last part quietly.
"Oh my littlest wolf. You have it all wrong. We never left you. Sure we might not have been there with you physically, but we were still in your heart. I'm sorry you thought this was your fault, because I can assure you none of it was," he comforted Hope, who just nodded but still didn't believe what her dad said.
"When you came back, I was able to get my memories from the future which I now know about. The stupid doppelgänger and her friends will not harm us; we will burn all of the White Oak and we will destroy the daggers after I wake the rest of our family. Once we have everything under control, we will get Freya and then continue our lives in New Orleans. Does that sound good to you?" he asked her, wanting to make sure she was comfortable with the plan.
"Yes. And you can use the doppelgänger's blood to sire hybrids for now, but when we leave you can drain her blood and then you can use mine, and when I become a vampire I can start siring my own hybrids. And this time, please make sure you are kind to your hybrids, it doesn't even have to be real, but do that so they don't want to turn on you and break the sire bond," Hope told him, making sure to add the last part so that their plan wouldn't be ruined, because if they sired a bunch of hybrids and treated them horribly, there would be a lot of powerful creatures (not as powerful as them, but still powerful) that would try to break the sire bond and then seek revenge against them all.
"Sweetheart, I don't want to use you for your blood. That's what the doppelgänger is for. And I don't want you siring any hybrids yet; that is very dangerous as they must feed on you to complete their transition," Klaus's stern and overprotective father side was starting to show.
"But dad, I wa-" she started, but was cut off by her father.
"Hope," he fixed her with a stern glance, "You will not be siring any hybrids, ever. That is the end of this discussion."
"What about mom? Are we going to get her so I can show her our memories?" Hope asked, wanting to know if that was in her father's plans.
"We will, my littlest wolf, but it will have to wait until we solve the problems here," he replied, stroking her hair.
The father and daughter duo spent some more time in each other's company just looking at the view of the forest, leaning against one another thinking about all of the other times they had spent together and missed, basking in the comfort of each other and the peaceful, serene silence.
