Ok enough rambling, on to the chapter.

Dolores woke up to strange sounds coming from the main room in casita. She slowly walked down the stairs. Dolores looked around and heard a slight rumble, it was quiet enough for her to hear but it was still weird. Then the sound of cracks, she looked down at the tile be neath her. "What?" She said in hushed tone. But before she see what was wrong she heard another sound. It should es like rats, which wasn't surprising. Dolores heard rats all the time but this time was different.
I walked towards the growing sound. It seems familiar, but I couldn't tell where I heard it. I walked over to painting and felt around the wall. 'Something has to be making this noise' she thought. Dolores let out a small gasp when the frame swung open " a Secret passage way?" She wondered out loud. " I never knew this was here" she quietly stepped through the passage way.
It looked like she was in the walls of Casita. Dolores looked at her surroundings, the tall support beams and creaky wooden floors under foot. And there was dust everywhere, Dolores let out a small sneeze but quickly placed her hands over her face. She didn't want to wake up her whole familia.
As she walked to hall she kept hearing these weird noises. ' It sounds like.... Sand? No that can't be right' she thought to herself . Dolores continued to walk until she found a light up ahead. Creeping up to it she saw a small room filled with rats and supplies. She walked into the small room, carefully grazing over the items. Her ears perked up at yet another sound.
Dolores turned around to see a figure starring at her. She recognized him immediately "tío Bruno?" But before she could do anything or he could respond he blew something on her. A shimmering green dust flew over her and she hit the floor as sleep consumed her.

Spanish vocabulary:
