It had been a few days into the new term, and the mood had dampened a bit from the first day, as students were starting to receive their assignments and projects from teachers, and clubs were starting their tryouts and activities.

Talking about clubs, most of the students were excited for the weekend, and it was for the upcoming Club Day, part of the school's yearly tradition, where the school's clubs held mass tryouts and recruitment. They were going to hold it on the same day, though some of the big ones held it at different times: basketball, football, and cheerleading. It was initially planned to be held on Saturday afternoon after lunchtime, but the student council decided to move it forward to the morning at the request of the captains, saying that if they held it in the morning, they could easily see who was committed enough to come so early to the school on the weekend.

Now, some people would be asking what the student council had to do with the clubs' activities. The reason why they had such control over it was to maintain the stability and equality at Greystone. They had a massive impact on why Greystone was known not only for its good reputation in academics and non-academic achievements, but also for its solidarity among students. The school was strong against oppression and injustice, and the school staff alone would not be sufficient to maintain the balance; the student council was built to do it. Consisting of students from all ranges of backgrounds and ages, yet having the same view on the best way the school should be working, they were able to keep the school from those who saw themselves as superiors. Hence, the student council also had the right to manage one or two things about the school clubs.

Another reason why the captains requested a change of time was the new term's yearly party.

The new term's yearly party would be held right on the same day at night, which was why the captains requested the clubs' activities to be moved to the morning, so they could get enough time to rest and doll up for the party. It was definitely not an official party that was organized by the school, but the school gave them access to use the sports field as a place for having their party instead of destroying one of the students' houses, due to the school not having any tradition to hold a Homecoming dance. They were given a place and facility to get loose before drowning themselves into maintaining the school's perfect reputation, but it came with very strict yet sensible rules.

Nothing illegal shall be done by the students, both inside and outside the school grounds.

The school was generous enough to provide them with all kinds of snacks, sweets, and soft drinks, so they would not do anything to get their hands on anything illegal or do something that broke any laws. Here, the student council again had a duty to keep everything in control.
